The advantage of this plastic/steel plain bearing is that high speeds can be achieved in dry operation. Taking the radial loads into account, maximum surface speeds up to 0.5 m/s rotating can be attained. The maintenance-free igubal® rod end bearings casually permit linear and oscillating movements of the shaft. Delivery program igubal® rod end bearings are available in the dimensional series K and E for shaft diameters of 2 to 30 mm in all dimensions according to DIN ISO 12240, and of course respectively in the Form A - with male thread and Form B - with female thread The dimensional series K and partly E are moreover available in inch dimensions and – as special version – with a stainless steel sleeve in the spherical ball. As a doubleacting buffer, this industrial shock absorber can be used in a spacesaving manner due to its design and can be actuated alternately from both sides. The constructive design and function corresponds to the C-Type. Furthermore, due to its low reset force, it can easily be pressed in at creep speed during operation. As optional equipment PU caps as inserts for the impact cap for the reduction of impact noise and a monitoring of the piston rod‘s position (by either magnetic or inductive sensors) are available. If only a slight increase of reset force of the piston rod over the entire stroke is desired, an additional external accumulator can be fitted to the cylinder to increase the gas volume of the gas spring. Hence the reset force decreases in retracted state.

For the user this means that he never ever will have to do calibration work in the harsh elements (wind, rain, cold, heat). No more lugging heavy test equipment and gas cylinders into the field. All the user has to do in the field, is plug the sensor back in. To do that, you don`t even need a tool! While the sensor is getting calibrated in the shop, the sensor cartridge stays in place and protects the sensor head from dust and rain.
