Compact braided round copper flexibles made from Cu-ETP1 and Cu-OF1, LEONI Histral® alloys upon request, in bare, tin-plated, nickel-plated or silver-plated, in hard or soft annealed. Single-wire diameter ranging from Ø 0.05 mm to Ø 0.10 mm. Cross-section ranging from 0.047 mm² to 25 mm² (bigger cross-sections upon request). Round copper braids are characterised by a very high degree of dimensional accuracy and a very high Flex life. They are absolute free from twist and support an automatic further processing. Compact braided round copper flexibles are particularly suitable for carbon brushes industry, connection technology, switches or aviation industry.

When combined with the appropriate gearbox, drylin® linear axes with the new BLDC motors achieve higher speed and greater torque. Energy is used more efficiently, as a result of which EC/BLDC motors are more durable and have a longer service life. Due to the fact that carbon brushes are not used, brushless motors are almost completely wear-resistant, generate less heat and enable longer, uninterrupted operation. Our self-recoiling springs consist of a V-shaped base holder, to which a self-recoiling spring is riveted. Of course, the relevant carbon brushes match 1:1. MACK self-recoiling springs in holders with clamps provide the required carbon brush pressure. And: Our carbon brushes feature either an appropriate head hollow or head contact – exactly coordinated to the specific dimension and strength of the spring.

Useful support: our brush-wear warning unit makes it possible for you to monitor carbon-brush wear precisely. Our brush-wear warning unit takes over the monitoring of the wear of your carbon brushes electronically – automatically and reliably. The warning is produced either through a contact in the carbon brush or by means of a micro switch on the holder. Your maintenance intervals can thus be planned, and you profit from major cost savings. The unit can be used both for alarm circuits which are linked to the machine potential as well as for potential-free alarm circuits.

Our flange holders can be fitted either directly into the machine housing or on brush rockers. What can we offer you? Checking is better: with our compact measuring unit, you can detect the wrong brush pressure and correct it immediately. The wrong brush pressure is often the cause of serious problems in motors and generators. This includes brush wear that is too high or irregular, sparking, high commutator or slip ring wear, or carbon-brush breakage. We offer antistatic brushes with carbon fibre or stainless steel yarn. The stainless steel yarn consists of stainless chrome-nickel-molybdenum steel. The fine stainless steel filaments are twisted to a yarn. This yarn has high resistance to abrasion, even when subjected to continuous mechanical load. The standard type AB10 is available from stock. Carbon fibres are excellent conductors, thanks to the high proportion of carbon which they contain. The variable distance between the tufts make carbon-fibre strip brushes the ideal choice for difficult static removal applications. The excellent conductivity of these brushes can also be used to allow voltages to be applied to the surface of workpieces. The standard type AB20 is available from stock.
