Our self-recoiling springs consist of a V-shaped base holder, to which a self-recoiling spring is riveted. Of course, the relevant carbon brushes match 1:1. MACK self-recoiling springs in holders with clamps provide the required carbon brush pressure. And: Our carbon brushes feature either an appropriate head hollow or head contact – exactly coordinated to the specific dimension and strength of the spring.

Useful support: our brush-wear warning unit makes it possible for you to monitor carbon-brush wear precisely. Our brush-wear warning unit takes over the monitoring of the wear of your carbon brushes electronically – automatically and reliably. The warning is produced either through a contact in the carbon brush or by means of a micro switch on the holder. Your maintenance intervals can thus be planned, and you profit from major cost savings. The unit can be used both for alarm circuits which are linked to the machine potential as well as for potential-free alarm circuits.

Our flange holders can be fitted either directly into the machine housing or on brush rockers. What can we offer you? MACK flange holders offer a space-saving and inexpensive option for contacting carbon brushes to a collector. The spring pressure on the carbon brush comes either from a coil spring or a rocker. We can realise connection options for you using very different thread and plug connections.

Checking is better: with our compact measuring unit, you can detect the wrong brush pressure and correct it immediately. The wrong brush pressure is often the cause of serious problems in motors and generators. This includes brush wear that is too high or irregular, sparking, high commutator or slip ring wear, or carbon-brush breakage. Compact, light, and easy to handle: with our brush-pressure unit, you can measure the carbon-brush pressure precisely and in a matter of seconds. The large display provides an immediate reading from 0.1 to 50 N.

MACK brush holders with clamps are available in many different sizes, shapes, versions, and materials – also for your slip ring or commutator application. Our brush holders with clamps have everything tightly under control. The carbon brushes are inserted into the brush shafts of the holder. The brush pressure comes – depending on the type – from a pressure finger, or (in the case of a self-recoiling spring holder) with a suitable self-recoiling spring holder, which permits the use of above-average length carbon brushes.

Brush grades describe the exact composition and the quality of our carbon brushes. With a wide range of formulations and properties, we ensure that the correct carbon brushes are supplied, even for the most special customer requirements. Thanks to special reworking processes such as impregnation, we can alter and improve the properties of MACK brush grades. For example, we can provide increased strength, improved slide characteristics, or lower spark production.
