In order to meet the demands for robustness and efficient heat output, we have embroidered the heating element on a glass mesh fabric carrier material. Between the meandering arrangement of the heating strands, we integrate a recess for the temperature switch in the CAD layout. In addition, a second wire is laid concurrently as a PTC thermistor for the electrical connection of the safety switch. After the technical embroidery process, the safety switch is inserted and connected by our company’s respective department. Each prefabricated element is tested for functionality and performance in the final inspection and is delivered to the customer after passing the test. As a semi-finished product, the infrared heating element on glass mesh fabric can be further processed by the customer, e.g. in connection with silicone, rubber or epoxy resin.

A quartz material / glass-encased, spiral-shaped, electrical heating coil with a large surface, which is mounted in a quartz material reflector shell with a handle, allows liquids to be heated indirectly by infrared radiation. This is used for the fast, economical evaporation or concentration of liquids. Due to this principle, only the surface of the liquid is heated very strongly, as the thermal radiation is absorbed even after shallow penetration, thus enabling gentle, uniform evaporation.In contrast to boiling evaporation, there is no loss of substance due to splashes from a moving boiling surface. The KLN machine program of „pure“ IR welding is based on the hot plate machine program „TOOLMASTER”. Machines for infrared heating should be equipped with servomotor drives in order to guarantee simple, quick and exact positioning. For welding by means of infrared technology short-wave (0,78-2 μm) as well as medium-wave (2-4 μm) infrared radiation of the spectrum can be used. This depends particularly on the radiation absorption capacity of the respective polymer material. The more precisely the radiator is adapted to the absorption capacity of the polymer material, the higher is the degree of efficiency, that means the conversion into warmth. Short waves are absorbed in deeper layers of the material, whereas medium waves heat it up more at the surface.
