CONSTAB offers a wide range of masterbatches with which you can provide your BOPP films with the required or desired properties. There is a wide range of properties with which BOPP films can be provided for individual use. At CONSTAB you will find BOPP masterbatches for co-extruded films, matt films, for metallizable matt films, cigarette film and metallizable films, among others.

With CONSTAB CON-Batch 30X, films can be produced denser and firmer - the layer thickness, on the other hand, can be reduced by approx. 25 %, the heating power by approx. 20 %. CONSTAB CON-Batch 30X masterbatch is used, for example, in the production of thermoformable sheets and enables the overall thickness of the sheet to be reduced by up to 30% while maintaining its mechanical integrity. It improves the mechanical and optical properties of the final product. In addition, the masterbatch serves as a processing aid in extrusion applications, enabling higher production speeds and a wider processing window, while reducing energy consumption. CON-Batch 30X can be easily used in monofilms and thus recycled. CON-Batch 30X can be supplied with a certificate confirming CO₂-neutrality.

Ecocell® is a patented, endothermic chemical foaming agent (CFA) masterbatch that helps improve multiple plastic requirements simultaneously. INTRODUCING NEWOSTAT® INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL ANTISTATS FOR PLASTIC Everybody is familiar with electrostatic discharge. It becomes visible, and especially perceptible, when walking over a nonconductive floor, then touching a door handle and getting “a shock.” Such discharges are not only unpleasant, but in many sectors are even dangerous. Antistatic agents are used to avoid this problem and thus make both the manufacture and the use of plastic products safer. However, antistats can also contribute an additional positive effect. With NEWOSTAT® antistatic agents, the tendency of many plastics to attract dirt can be markedly reduced.

In many plastic systems, such as elastic PVC floor coverings, a wide variety of Incorporated inorganic fillers. However, these inorganic additives do not show any significant tendency to be incorporated into the liquid constituents of a plastisol. Without suitable additives, this is practically impossible. INTRODUCING NEWOLAN® NEWOLAN®- rheology additives – Products that make coating easier Many important plastics accrue during manufacture as fine particulate powders. It is often difficult to produce sheeting from them on a supporting material for example for floor coverings. Therefore, before mechanical shaping as a surface can occur, these powders must first be converted into a flowable or spreadable paste with a fluid medium. Such pastes are called plastisols. In the process, rheology additives optimally adapt the flow behavior (rheology) of the PVC pastes to the process parameters during sheeting manufacture. Under the brand name NEWOLAN®, NEWOS offers innovative and market-tested rheology additives that can be optimized to your requirements at any time.

Colour masterbatches These are used for colouring plastic products. Additive masterbatches They ensure certain properties of the end products, such as UV stabilization, flame retardancy, antistatic properties or antiblocking. Combination masterbatches Contains both colorants and additives.

FLAME RETARDANT FOR PLASTICS

In addition to common applications such as shrink BOPP tobacco films, CONSTAB Modifier masterbatches can also be used for other applications. They provide a whole range of benefits - from labels to transparent food packaging. For example, they contribute to improved mechanical and optical properties, create an increased gas barrier or better processability.

BIEGLO can offer a variety of PEEK compounds, both as raw material and as semi-finished product. PEEK compounds can be supplied with carbon or glass fibers as well as with PTFE and tribological compounds with a mix of PEEK, PTFE, carbon fibers and graphite. In addition, PEEK color compounds can also be supplied. PEEK-CF30 impresses with its outstanding mechanical and thermal properties. The carbon fibers provide increased stiffness, creep resistance and better thermal conductivity. Furthermore, PEEK-CF30 has exceptional resistance to hydrolysis in boiling water or hot steam. PEEK-GF30 impresses with its improved mechanical strength and high rigidity. In addition, the creep resistance and dimensional stability is increased. The glass fibers provide increased life in high static and high temperature applications over a long period of time. PEEK-GF30 does not dissolve in common solvents and resists high gamma rays.

BIEGLO offers recycled PEEK as granules. This R-PEEK is produced in Europe and offers a very good cost position compared to virgin material. At the same time, BIEGLO is doing something good for the environment in terms of sustainability. PEEK as a high performance thermoplast keeps its properties throughout the recycling process. PEEK-residues do not end up in an incineration plant, but are being recycled in a quality assured way. BIEGLO can offer PEEK granulates in various viscosities. It can be used for a variety of applications: semi-finished product extrusion, injection molding, compounding, filament and film extrusion, coatings. Our CoPEEK 012G is high viscous, unreinforced PEEK for extrusion and injection molding, thus it is the standard type for the production of semi-finished products. CoPEEK 021G is medium viscous, unreinforced PEEK for injection molding. But it can also be extruded for the production of films and filaments. CoPEEK 085G is low viscous, unreinforced PEEK for the extrusion of films and filaments. It is also used as the basis for compounds and composites. CoPEEK 125G is very low viscous, unreinforced PEEK for the injection molding of thin-walled, complex components. It is also suitable for the production of highly filled compounds.

SOMOS® RDM mobile dryers are designed for drying highly flowable, hygroscopic polymer pellets and regrind. They can be used flexibly as auxiliary units for supplying processing machines for moderate throughputs which is a particular advantage for frequent material changes. The mobile dryers, with their attractive, functional design, consist of a dry air generator and an insulated stainless steel drying bin. They are optionally available with an integral dry air conveying unit for automatically feeding the processing machine. The dry air generator uses the SOMOS® single chamber system making highly efficient use of desiccant. As a result, the desiccant can be regenerated quickly and energy-efficiently, providing cost benefits for the processor. Having five graduated sizes of drying bin with an effective volume of 30 l to 400 l, the dryers are capable of flexibly pre-processing a volume of material suited to the processing machine's throughput right by the machine.

Modular SOMOS® RDC stationary drying systems are suitable for efficiently drying virtually any kind of hygroscopic polymer pellets and regrind. The material is dried with heated drying air, optimum air distribution in the material being dried ensuring uniformly good drying results. ProTec designs and supplies RDC drying systems made to measure for all polymer processing processes. Material throughputs meet demand from individual machines right up to a plant's entire installed base of machinery.

The SOMOS® RDF dryer is used for drying hygroscopic polymer pellets. It consists of compact RDF modules which can be flexibly combined, are capable of autonomous operation and have drying capacities of 10 kg/h to 250 kg/h per module. The modules are available in 7 sizes with a volume of between 30 l and 600 l and a drying are volume between 10 m3 and 180 m3, each one being individually controllable by its own controller. Alternatively, when interconnected, they can be controlled using a common operator control unit. Each module has an integrated air generator, so ruling out complete failure, as may occur with a centrally supplied drying system.

The three-phase conveying station can be used for a wide range of central conveying applications with a large choice of blower sizes. The three-phase blower is low-noise and maintenance-free. The station is available with a blower protection filter or optionally a cyclone dust filter with collection bin. The integrated VAC swift control is equipped with a 7“colour display which can operate up to 8 METRO swift HOS material loaders and up to 8 purging valves.

The METRO SG HES range of single-phase material loaders enable processors to automate a key area of the production process cost effectively, bringing significant benefits for process management. Plastic granulate is conveyed quickly and cleanly to a processing machine hopper, a drying bin or a day bin as needed. The material loader is equipped with its own control, so that it recognizes when material is needed and automatically starts conveying. This keeps machines running and avoids costly downtime while eliminating material wastage, keeping the workspace clean and safe. The METRO SG HES range can handle throughputs of 15 to 200 kg/h.

The plastic granules are transported quickly and cleanly into hoppers, drying bin or other dosing and mixing units and fed to the machine as required. This eliminates material wastage and keeps the work-space clean and safe.

Plastic is a thermoplastic and belongs to the organic polyamidebased blasting abrasives. WIWOX® KS nature high-quality blasting and deburring medium is particularly suitable to treat duroplast and rubber components without damaging and matting them. Available in cylindrical or exact cubic shape, it is characterised by high impact strength, dimensional stability and extremely long service life. We also supply an antistatic agent for subsequent or sustained application in liquid form.

Plastic blasting abrasives type WIWOX® KS have been specially developed for optimum, chemically neutral surface treatment and all gentle cleaning – especially for plastic and light metal. They are mainly used for paint stripping, roughening, matting, deburring and cleaning. Plastic blasting abrasives produce consistently high quality and do not cause any damage to the work piece to be treated.

Clothing instead of landfill PET must beone of the most interesting recycling materials of recent years as, during this time, not only new bottles, but also clothing and much more have been produced from recycled bottles. In Germany alone, each year the volume of PET bottles discarded when empty has exceeded 400,000 [tonnes], 96% of which is taken to professional recycling.
