Universal drive control for utmost efficiency MAGSON magnetically coupled centrifugal pumps are extremely efficient by nature. Using the SFU frequency converter for optimum adjustment to changing conditions, this efficiency will increase even more. Thanks to leading-edge control technology, the SFU permanently adjusts the discharge rate to specific requirements. Whenever the rate has to be reduced or the pump has to be operated with changing volume flows, using a frequency converter will save you lots of money. Thus, the power required by a pump running at half speed is only 12% of the original demand. So the system operates with optimum efficiency but saves a lot of energy, especially in part-load operation.

Our high frequency converters are providing frequencies of up to 2 MHz at up to 200 kW output. For lower frequencies down to 4 kHz we have our mid range frequency converter series MU.

Our mid range frequency converters are delivering up to 250 kW output at frequencies down to 4 kHz. For high frequencies up to 2 MHz we have our high frequency converter series HU.

The MEMDOS LB solenoid-driven diaphragm dosing pump is the ideal solution for applications where the pump needs to be integrated into control systems or control loops. Thanks to its robust plunger drive and the option of manual or automatic capacity adjustment, the MEMDOS LB reliably and precisely doses various media such as acids, alkalis, precipitants and flocculants. The dosing capacity is adjusted either by mechanically adjusting the stroke length or by controlling the speed of the three-phase motor via a separate frequency converter. This flexibility enables precise control of the flow rate to meet different requirements. On request, the MEMDOS LB is also available with a double diaphragm system, which offers additional safety and reliability. This combination of versatile control and robust design makes the MEMDOS LB the ideal choice for demanding dosing tasks.

The new strain gage amplifier with IO-Link interface enables digitalization of the measurement technology right from the sensor. Its compact design and high degree of protection allow the instrumentation amplifier to be used practically anywhere in the field. Strain gage sensors typically have an output voltage of a few millivolts. In industrial environments, e.g. in the vicinity of electric motors or frequency converters, interference can affect the measurement result when transmitting analog signals. This is reliably avoided using the new strain gage amplifier with IO-Link interface. The analog link between the sensor and instrumentation amplifier is kept as short as possible, the standardized IO-Link communication is fully digital and interference-free. The amplifier is powered directly via the IO-Link interface – a standardized 5-wire cable with M12 socket. Strain gage sensors can be connected via a 4-pin M8 connector.

Inductive displacement sensors of this series measure linear displacements and indirectly all mechanical values convertible into displacements by additional equipment (i.e. tension and compression forces, extension, torque, vibration). The sensor body equipped with a connector has an outer diameter of only 8 mm and therefore is especially well suitable for the integration in dimensionally restricted structures. Typical application fields are displacement and extension measurements on: —Machines —Servo systems —Motor vehicles —Test benches —Production plants The cylindrical case made of stainless steel, houses a differential transformer (LVDT). It consists of a primary and two secondary coils with axially moveable core. A displacement of this core changes the magnetic induction of the coils. The INLINE carrier frequency amplifier converts the displacement into a direct proportional electrical DC voltage.

Positive displacement blowers and single-stage screw compressors start up directly or following a star delta circuit if no gentle start or no frequency converter control are available. The unit is subjected to heavy mechanical load and requires high start-up current. For this reason, counterpressure must be reduced during the start-up phase; this is achieved by blowing off the increasing volume flow. The fully automatic medium-controlled STRATE relief valve EVA has been specially designed for this procedure. As well as not requiring any maintenance, the STRATE relief valve EVA is an extremely economical device for reducing load during start-up since there is no longer any need to use complex externally controlled valves or electronic start-up aids. Depending on the viscosity of the mixing material, CR-Ms with fast running or gear reduced drives are available. The agitator shafts are connected to the drive shafts with sleeve couplings or borne within the gear’s hollow shaft (worm gear). The agitator shafts are balanced for concentric run after assembly. The mixer is mounted on the container’s manway lid, which is clamped with butterfly screws or a clamp ring. The manway lid is supplied by the container manufacturer or by the customer. The impellers are designed to fit through the filling opening DN 400 when being inserted. The electric container mixers are delivered with on-/off-switches with low-voltage breaker. Immersion Pumps Our multistage pump models TC25...TC460 have been especially developed to supply internally cooled tools with coolant fluid. Pressure Boosting Pumps series TH and FH use closed impellers in order to minimize power consumption and to optimize hydraulic pump efficiencies. In addition, the TH series offers high pressures at short immersion depths. Inline pumps of the series FH can be used as boosting pumps if provided with positive inlet pressure. This inlet pressure can be provided by the central coolant supply or a feed pump. In such a setup, pumps of the series FH can raise the incoming pressure by up to 26 bar. A frequency converter can be supplied for special applications or for matching the pump characteristic to a specific duty point. Measuring Frequency with PPC-CAN-FR The PPC-CAN-FR can be used to connect frequency signals (e.g. from turbines, flow counters or tachometers) to the PPC-Pad or PPC-04-plus-CAN. The instruments can process sinus and rectangle signals from 1 Hz to 5 KHz with signal amplitude from 20 mV to 10 V. Configuration is possible via USB and PC software. The TA-SHG pro system, part of the UV / RGB solutions, comprises a tunable diode laser, a high power semiconductor (TA) and an integrated frequency doubling stage (SHG pro). Alternatively, it is available with a fiber (FA) or Raman fiber (RFA) amplifier. The SHG stage is a folded ring cavity in bow-tie configuration with excellent thermal and mechanical stability. The system now includes fully-automated push-button coupling optimization into the TA chip, the SHG cavity and the output fiber, as well as output power stabilization. It provides tunable laser radiation for spectroscopy, laser cooling, optical data storage, holography and interferometry.

The grating stabilized diode laser SHG pro is a medium power solution, for applications such as spectroscopy of atoms, ions and molecules, laser cooling and interferometry. Designed in TOPTICA’s proprietary pro technology, it combines best performance and ease-of-use – at moderate initial and operating costs. The system now includes fully-automated push-button coupling optimization into the SHG cavity and the output fiber. The package comprises a solid laser head and a DLC pro control rack. It can be upgraded to a TA-SHG pro, if an appropriate amplifier source is available.

The SHG pro is the device of choice if existing lasers are to be frequency doubled. Designed in TOPTICA’s pro technology, it unites highly stable performance and convenient operation. Mirror and crystal holders can be adjusted without opening the resonator cover. A wide range of non-linear crystals covers SHG wavelengths from 190 to 800 nm. TOPTICA offers competent support for adapting the unit to customer requirements.

The TA-FHG pro is a tunable, diode-based laser source in the deep UV spectral range. The system consists of an external cavity diode laser, a high power semiconductor amplifier (TA), and two cascaded second harmonic generation stages (SHG pro). Alternatively, it can be equipped with a fiber amplifier (FA) or Raman fiber amplifier (RFA). It provides tunable laser radiation for spectroscopy, laser cooling, holography and interferometry.

The H igh F requency vibrators of this series have to be operated with a frequency converter or inverter. If operated with a frequency inverter an rpm adjustment can be realised with little effort. Our compact asynchronous motors are distinguished by high torques in combination with a small size. They are highly dynamic with a low inertial moment, with a proven design as well as electromagnetically compatible for optimal, compact performance levels. We develop our compact asynchronous motors specially as speed-controlled drivers and for a supply from frequency converters. They also consist of a flexible platform system and can be adapted to specific customer requirements. The housing is angular and jacketless. Being ventilated by a separately driven fan, the motors can constantly deliver the full torque over the entire speed range. The optimised control behaviour with converter operation means that these machines can replace DC machines.

MIXACO High-Speed Mixer A high friction rate is achieved by circumferential speeds of 15-40 m/s, resulting in intensive heating of the product. The required power input can be regulated flexibly. The MIXACO high-speed mixer can be extended by many additional functions and adapted for individual mixing tasks, so it is a particularly cost-effective solution for customized integration into new or existing production workflows. Siempelkamp has developed the energy-ecient drive system EcoDrive for the ContiRoll® main drives. This system meets tomorrow’s legal and standard demands on the energy eciency of drive systems already today. It comprises frequency converters, motor and gearbox - all well-tuned to one another. In addition to the energy eciency our R&D-work focussed on an improved precision and controllability of the entire drive system. The focus is on high belt speeds, precise r.p.m. for a synchronous operation of the steel belts, torques adjusted to the characteristic load line in connection with the hydraulic pressure/position control, good performance, good uptimes and ease of maintenance. This corresponds to the demand on a very high product quality and an on-demand energy consumption even in partial load operation. This new drive system is able to save more than 10 % of the electrical drive energy compared to traditional Solutions.
