Chemical-dosing systems are developed and manufactured for various applications and processes as complete, ready-for-connection function modules. Selecting the components and materials for constructing these systems requires long-year experience and comprehensive knowledge of the specific properties of the substances to be dosed. A lot of media are toxic and harmful to persons. Moreover, many are harmful to the environment and the groundwater.  Substance properties such as a high viscosity or a high vapor pressure compromise the liability and a safe function if not considered when selecting and installing the pumps. For many years, MPT staff has been working in this specific area and gathered much experience when implementing hundreds of applications for nearly each topic in the range of premium dosing technology. SPECTROPLUS is a gravimetric & volumetric synchronous dosing & mixing unit for diverse materials – from granules, regrind or powders to liquids and flakes. Due to the modular design of the SPECTROPLUS with only one frame size and up to 8 dosing module positions, it is one of the most flexible overall systems in the motan product world. In addition to the gravimetric and volumetric version, the SPECTROPLUS can also be combined (gravimetric and volumetric dosing modules in combination). This makes it ideal for individual applications and also complex end products. motan's SPECTROFLEX units can easily be added to the SPECTROPLUS.

2.0 ERGO 230 is a compact, touchless cleanroom cleaning trolley of the second generation with plastic buckets. The special design allows the discarding of used mops at the back and therefore ensures a higher safety against cross-contamination. The unique ERGO mop wetting unit guarantees reproducible, disinfectant-saving liquid dosing in just one step and can be adapted to different fluid requirements thanks to various mop plates. The new mop discarding mechanism ensures a touchless and safe discarding of used mops. The standard PurMop® accessories include a mop handle holder on the side and a rear waste bag holder for PurMop® waste bags. 2.0 ERGO 230 has two additional plastic buckets, which can be used to store cleaning utensils.

FUNCTIONAL PRINCIPLE The SOMOS® Gramix TwinDos dosing system supplies twin screw extruders in the "underfed" mode required for such extruders. Optimized hardware and control software ensure extremely short system response times, the weighing electronics operating with 24 bit signal resolution. For example, the system even responds automatically to changing regrind consistencies and optimizes itself by appropriately readjusting the metered components. No software adaptation (e.g. using appropriate material characteristic curves) is required for this purpose. The closed dosing system releases little dust and can be installed directly on the processing machine, so saving space.

SOMOS® Volmix from ProTec is a highly accurate volumetric dosing and mixing system. Volmix stands for VOLumetric dosing and MIXing. The system supplies injection molding machines as well as extruders or blow molding machines with throughputs of up to 2,500 kg/h. A high-accuracy small-volume dosing unit for regrind for a throughput as low as 150 g/h is available as an option.

The SOMOS® Gramix ExtremeDos dosing system is specially adapted for gravimetrically dosing regrind with very challenging flow behavior.

The SOMOS® Gramix FlakeDos dosing system is ideally suitable for gravimetrically dosing PET bottle flake (bulk density 250 to 600 g/l). The system can optimally and directly process the flakes without premixing.

With the volumetric dosing and mixing station SPECTROCOLOR V, motan offers a simple solution for the economic production of plastics parts: precise dosing and homogeneous mixing with highest repeatability. Our unique gravity-mixing principle offers you a high consistency of mix for all the components before they reach the extruder. This plays a key role in guaranteeing you perfect plasticization and homogenization of the materials. SPECTROCOLOR V doses and mixes all easy to normal flowing granular materials. Up to six dosing modules, supports both flood-fed and starve-fed extrusion.

ULTRABLEND medical is a gravimetric batch dosing and mixing station for plastic granules, additives, and regrind. It has been specially designed for pharmaceutical and medical technology applications. The high dosing accuracy and consistency of the ULTRABLEND improves end product quality and saves money by using less additives and reducing scrap. The ULTRABLEND is suitable for direct mounting on small injection moulding machines and extruders. All components are accurately dosed and weighed one after another into a weigh hopper. They are then passed to the mixing chamber where they are homogeneously mixed.

For many dosing applications, it is necessary to homogeneously mix different materials of varying bulk densities and flow characteristics. The mixer module 2l is designed for mounting under a dosing unit, where it will mechanically mix, for example a powder additive with virgin material. Further possible uses: Homogenous mixing of virgin material and regrind or with masterbatch or additives. motan has 3 versions available: — Mixer module 2l-MB for MINIBLEND V — Mixer module 2l-MC for MINICOLOR V / G — Mixer module 2l-Uni for universal applications and third-party products

"The demand for excellent mixing quality and consistently accurate dosing is a must when combining additives to the virgin material at the processing machine. The gravimetric MINICOLOR G dosing and mixing units meet and exceed these requirements. Mounted at the feed throat of the plastics processing machine, the units require very little space. Depending on need and requirement, screw or disc dosing modules can be installed at the mixing neck. Disc dosing is ideal for translucent and opaque parts as well as for dosing very small quantities."
