The 8 terminals of the µCAN.8.dio-BOX may individually be set to act as digital inputs or digital outputs. The module preprocesses and filters the digital signals. Its CAN interface supports the protocols CANopen, CANopen FD and J1939.

For safety-related applications, we offer IP67 block I/O modules with safe digital inputs and universal digital channels that can be used as inputs or outputs. The modules also feature non-safe universal digital channels and IO-Link master ports. This allows connection of standard I/Os and IO-Link devices to an IP67 fieldbus module - in addition to the safety inputs and outputs. Via the IO-Link IO hubs, up to 32 more universal digital signals can be connected.

Kuhnkes FIO Safety SDI4/SDO2 is a safety I/O terminal featuring four safe digital input channels and two safe digital output channels. This expansion module from Kuhnke's FIO range easily integrates in any EtherCAT® network. Four inputs pick up sensor readings via floating 24 VDC contacts while two outputs send up to 2 A of current per channel to 24 VDC actuators. In case the EtherCAT terminal detects a fault it changes to a safe state (fail safe). The module meets the requirements of IEC 61508 SIL3 and DIN EN ISO 13849 PL e.

The IF2001/USB interface module converts the digital RS422 signals of a laser optical sensor into a USB data packet. For this purpose, the sensor is connected to the RS422 interface of the module. The converter loops through further signals and features such as laser on/off, switch signals and function output. The connected sensors and the converter can be programmed through software.

The digital Kuhnke FIO I/O modules relay the binary control signals to the actuators and analyze the input signals of the automation device galvanically separated from the process level. The Kuhnke FIO DI16 / DO16 module has 16 outputs, each output can be loaded with up to 0.5A. In addition the module offers 16 inputs with an input delay of 1ms. The primary and secondary sides of the module are separated by optocouplers. This galvanic decoupling makes it possible to switch off the supply of the outputs via only one safety component. The signal status of each channel is indicated by LEDs. At its eight outputs the µCAN.8.pwm-BOX provides pulse width modulated signals (PWM) within a range of 0% to 100% for controlling of actuators (valves etc.). The outlets are overload and short circuit protected. The µCAN.8.pwm-BOX is connected with the central control unit via CAN bus.

The µCAN.4.ci-BOX is equipped with 4 fast counters of up to 100 kHz. The CAN module acquires and processes the binary pulses and transmits them to a higher-level system.

The µCAN.8.dio-SNAP is a freely configurable digital I/O module featuring 8 channels. Module ID and bit rate can be set via DIP switch or via CAN bus (LSS, CiA 305). The module supports the protocols CANopen CANopenFD and J1939.
