These short molded components are fused to measurement electrodes and serve as filling/draining ports for the electrodes. The beaded edge is ideal for connecting rubber or plastic hoses. The ports are usually made of lead, borosilicate, and soda glass.

If required, we can supply capillaries and tubes with predetermined break points. For this purpose, the component is notched at the required breaking location. If the component is then subjected to a bending force, it will break at the notched point. To prevent unintended breakage, we recommend using medium or thick-walled tubes and capillaries.

Cloning cylinders or rings are ideally suited for separate cloning if individual cells or cell groups on a nutrient solution. A specific cell or cell group is separated from the other cells in the nutrient solution by simply placing the cloning ring over it. The rings are made of high-grade borosilicate glass, and can be thermally sterilized without problems. The ring faces are ground perfectly flat, enabling the rings to be fixed e.g. to the floor of a Petri dish by means of a suitable grease. Subsequently, the nutrient solution is filled into the ring. The grease provides a seal between the ring and the Petri dish, whereby the precision-ground flat end ensures that very little grease is required to provide an optimum seal. The same applies in the case of Petri dishes prepared with a nutrient solution – here, the seal is provided simply by pressing the ring into the solution and down to the floor of the dish. As a special service, we offer glass tubes and cylinders with calibrated inside diameters. Hereby, a special tool is used to bring the internal diameter precisely to the desired shape and dimension. Apart from the standard circular shape, the tubes can also be square or conical. Moreover, the outer tube diameter can be calibrated by means of cylindrical grinding. This grinding procedure results in a matt outer surface, which can be corrected by subsequent “technical polishing”.

The MBS hydraulic cylinders of the MZR-1007 series are synchronized cylinders with pivot pins for robust, high-frequency use in general mechanical engineering. The cylinder is connected via a pivot pin ring, which can be variably screwed to the cylinder tube, and a threaded neck on the piston rod, which is designed for rod ends according to DIN24338 / ISO6982. There are also connection bores for pipe connections according to BSPP ISO 1179-2. Hub and piston rod overhang are variably selectable. With the exception of the piston rod, all surfaces are protected against corrosion with a black primer. On request alternative surface treatments are possible. The surface of the piston rod is hard chromed, ground and polished. The cylinders are suitable for hydraulic fluids of types H, HL and HLP according to DIN 51524/51525. SAMSYS offers Spindle Liner for draw tube diameters from 38mm to 100mm. The length of the reduction tube depends on the length of the draw tube, as well as the clamping device and the type of clamping cylinder. The reduction tube consists of a precision steel tube as support tube (1). In order to ensure optimum guidance, the rear (2) and the front (3) guide are adapted to the lathe. Mounting as well as dismounting can be done in a very short time with a few simple steps, as the reduction tube is only attached to the clamping cylinder with two screws. The POM bushings (4) can be flexibly adapted to the material diameter. Since you do not need to store a reduction tube for every diameter, you save valuable storage space. A Water pan extension (5) is also available as an option for safe covering and splash protection.

Heating bands are the ideal solution for the heating of tubes an cylinders. Mica band heaters, frequently used as nozzle heaters, are made with a plastic-tight stainless steel casing. Such mica heating bands are in many dimension available from stock. The Ceramic heating band type is suitable specially for applications with high watt density and therefore for higher temperatures. Ceramic band heaters, also known as ceramic ring heaters or cylindrical ceramic sectional heaters, are attached to the contact surface by means of a clamping mechanism. A preferred field of use for ceramic band heaters is the heating of plasticising cylinders, bushings and nozzles of injection moulding machines and screw barrels of extrusion machines. For thermal optimization and process control ceramic band heaters can also be offered with insulation jackets or air cooling.
