The segment Performance Additives was established with the intention of offering our customers from the plastics industry an extensive and exclusive product portfolio. This product portfolio comprises a wide range of high-performance additives for various plastics. Fine-tuned to individual customer needs we deliver different additives, catalysts und colorants to PET producers.

In the field of plastics we offer metal strips with PVC plastisol and/or organosol coatings, as well as polyamide plastics. PP (polypropylene), PE (polyethylene), PC (polycarbonate), PET (polyethylene terephthalate) and PLA (polyactide), TPE (thermoplastic elastomer), TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) and others. These can be produced with a layer thickness of 5-200 μm Depending on the plastic, higher layer thicknesses can also be achieved. In addition, most plastics can also be equipped with antibacterial properties; of course in all colour variations. Although a one-sided coating more common, we are able to apply the same and/or different plastic adhesives for both sides.

Colour masterbatches These are used for colouring plastic products. Additive masterbatches They ensure certain properties of the end products, such as UV stabilization, flame retardancy, antistatic properties or antiblocking. Combination masterbatches Contains both colorants and additives.

With the help of the 3D-MID process, plastic parts can be metallized not only over the entire surface, but also selectively. Fiber laser marking systems are part of the solid-state laser group. The laser beam is created in a diode-activated optical fiber. The REA JET FL is suitable for permanent the marking of metal and plastic surfaces. The marking with codes, texts, numbers or logos may even take place on oily, corroded or above 1000°C hot surfaces. When it comes to laser marking, the following types of marking are essentially differentiated: • temper colour: in the case of stainless steels and titanium, oxygen storage in the surface, • white engraving, • deep engraving, • Color removal e.g. of anodized layers for aluminum, • Color change of plastics (usually additives required in the plastic), • foaming of plastics, • ... The advantages of laser marking are on the one hand: • longevity, • Biocompatible for and in medical technology. In addition, laser inscription is: • individually designed, • space-saving thanks to data matrix code, • consecutive numbering can be generated (serial number, date of manufacture, ...), • cheap, as e.g. there are no mask costs compared to pad printing.

BIEGLO can offer PEEK powders in various viscosities. It can be used for a variety of applications: semi-finished product extrusion, injection molding, compounding, filament and film extrusion, coatings. Our CoPEEK 012P is a high viscous, unreinforced PEEK for extrusion and injection molding, thus it is the standard type for the production of semi-finished products. CoPEEK 021P is medium viscous, unreinforced PEEK for injection molding. But it can also be extruded for the production of films and filaments. CoPEEK 085P is low viscous, unreinforced PEEK for the extrusion of films and filaments. It is also used as the basis for compounds and composites. Our CoPEEK can be processed on machines for thermoplastics without any problems. We recommend a processing temperature of 360 °C to 380 °C. BIEGLO CoPEEK is ISO 10993 certified for medical applications and also has FDA certification.

ULTRABLEND medical is a gravimetric batch dosing and mixing station for plastic granules, additives, and regrind. It has been specially designed for pharmaceutical and medical technology applications. The high dosing accuracy and consistency of the ULTRABLEND improves end product quality and saves money by using less additives and reducing scrap. The ULTRABLEND is suitable for direct mounting on small injection moulding machines and extruders. All components are accurately dosed and weighed one after another into a weigh hopper. They are then passed to the mixing chamber where they are homogeneously mixed.

The package improves the homogeneity of the filler distribution, reduces degradation by friction peaks and leads to an improved surface quality and increases the thermo-oxidative stability of produced compound. We recommend to add amounts of 0.5 %.

By the addition to the most different formulations long flow paths can be realized and injected parts can be ejected faster. The use in filled or reinforced compounds improves, for example, the homogeneity of the fibre glass distribution, reduces the polyamide degradation and leads to an improved surface quality. In addition, damages by friction peaks can be avoided in sensitive formulations. We recommend to add amounts of 0.3 – 0.7 %.

The formulation was specially developed for use in polyolefins (PE/PP). It is applicable for virgin grades as well as for recycled and regrinded materials. CEVO® process B-3680 can be used in unfilled, mineral-filled and glass fiber reinforced polyolefin formulations. Its application leads to a lowering of the melt viscosity and to an improved distribution of fillers, reinforcing materials and additives (stabilisers, pigments, ...). The components produced show very high surface qualities combined with a high gloss.

Effective lubricant and dispersing agent in transparent engineering plastics such as PET/PBT and in reinforced polypropylene (PP); lubricant, release agent and dispersing agent in polystyrene (PS), polyoxymethylene (POM) and nylon (PA, PA6, PA66); external lubricant for rigid PVC profiles; lubricant, release agent, slip agent and anti-fog agent in thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), lubricant and anti-blocking agent in polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA).

The use in mineral filled, glass fibre reinforced and/or pigmented compounds improves the homogeneity of the filler and/or pigment distribution, reduces damages by friction peaks and leads to an improved surface quality. We recommend to add amounts of 0.3 – 0.5 %.

The formula was engineered especially for the application in TPU. Can also be used advantageously in other engineering plastics. Improved blooming-out behaviour.

The modifier was developed to increase the flow behavior of highly viscous polycarbonates from post-industrial areas and is primarily used in the production of easy-flowing polycarbonate compounds on twin-screw extruders.
