Saint Emilion Grand Cru Blend: Merlot - Cabernet Sauvignon - Cabernet Franc Ageing potential: Approximately 20 years Vinification : Harvested by hand, the grapes are destemmed and then sorted by densimetric bath. This is followed by a week's pre-fermentation cold maceration and 10 days' alcoholic fermentation, during which the grapes are pumped over and the cap punched down. These changes help to significantly decrease the use of pesticides. In order to improve the quality of the wine, there is a “sainé” (20% of their production) and makes a 2nd wine (sold in bulk). A Barrière exclusivity ! Bought in 1955 by Mr. Serge Dassault (also know for the aviation company under the same family name), the Château was promoted to “Grand Cru Classé” status in 1969. In 1995, Laurence Brun was given the management of the estate and set in motion a major quality development program. In 2012, the estate concluded a technical and commercial cooperation with Domaines Baron de Rothschild (Lafite Rothschild).

Château Corbin, situated in the Saint Emilion AOC on the border of the Pomerol appellation , is one of the patriarchs of Saint-Emilion. Its foundations date back to the 15th century, and according to legend Corbin, was the stronghold that belonged to the “Black Prince” Edouard de Plantagenet who fought the French in the early stages of the Hundred Year War. Since 1999, the estate is managed by Anabelle Cruse-Bardinet, a Bordeaux University oenology graduate, who represents the 4th generation of the family to lead the Chateau.

Amiral de Beychevelle is the second wine of Château Beychevelle and sold on exclusive basis by Barrière Frères. The name “Amiral” was given to this wine in homage to the château’s 17th century owner, Duc d’Epernon and Admiral of the French Navy under Henri III. Clearly identifiable to Château Beychevelle, the wine is soft, elegant and fruity with excellent breed. With “Amiral”, the objective is to make a wine which can be drunk earlier than the Grand Vin.

Château La Croix Meunier belongs to the 5th generation of the Meunier family (going back to 1840). This miniscule estate of 3 hectares is located in the north-west of Saint-Emilion near Châteaux Figeac and Cheval Blanc.

These wines will be offered "en-primeur" (futures). A certain quantity will be made available for sales once the wines are bottled.
