Dating back to the 1980’s, Grand Bateau is the fruit of the collaboration between Maison Barrière and Château Beychevelle, our sister company. The Boat which decorates this label is the mythical galleon of the famous Château Beychevelle which took part and sponsored the conception and creation of Grand Bateau. Today Philippe Blanc, Château Beychevelle’s winemaker, provides us with the ultimate technical guidance in our famed assemblage of these wines. The « Secret » ? Simply that the wine is sourced from such illustrious estates that we have asked not to divulge its exceptional provenance! Rich and gracious wine, it offers all the racinness of a grand cru. It’s exceptional elegance will seduce the palates of those demanding connoisseurs.

ORIGIN - TERROIR Roumaguet, born from a rigorous selection by our oenologists, pays homage to the noble terroirs of Bordeaux. The Bordeaux appellation covers more than 40,000 hectares, representing the entirety of the Bordeaux vineyard. The richness of its soils and proximity to the Atlantic Ocean provide ideal conditions for the production of exceptional wines. VINIFICATION Harvested at perfect ripeness Cold maceration for several hours Low-temperature vinification Aged in tanks GRAPE VARIETIES Sauvignon TASTING NOTES Roumaguet Bordeaux Blanc Sec is adorned with a brilliant pale yellow robe. The nose reveals lovely notes of citrus and exotic fruits. On the palate, it is creamy and well-balanced between roundness and acidity, with a fruity and lingering finish. FOOD PAIRINGS Roumaguet is ideal as an aperitif or paired with seafood, fish in sauce, or grilled fish.

On the palate, it offers delicious flavors of exotic fruits and a fine balance between sweetness and acidity. The fruity finish lingers with a pleasant freshness.

ORIGIN Sweet White Wine Château Cazeau boasts a magnificent Girondine chartreuse, whose origins date back to the 16th century. It is ideally located in Gornac, along one of the oldest routes of the Entre-Deux-Mers region, just a few kilometers east of Sauveterre de Guyenne. Its vineyard spans over 300 hectares, with 7 hectares dedicated to producing this Entre-Deux-Mers sweet white wine. The estate benefits from an exceptional location on clay-limestone hillsides reaching an altitude of 110 meters, with predominantly southern exposure. The vines, planted all around the château, are thoughtfully distributed between red and white grape varieties according to the terroirs. With an average age of 35 years, the vines are carefully cultivated using traditional methods, with respect for the environment. The large winery is equipped with all modern facilities (temperature control, pneumatic presses, micro-oxygenation) necessary for producing fine wines.
