Sidestream filters remove sediment, biological growth, rust and corrosion products from recirculating closed loop CHW, LTHW and MTHW water circuits in the HVAC industry. These filters protect pipework, valves, pumps and components by removing suspended impurities and complement water treatment program. BSRIA Publication BG29/2021 recommends that a sidestream filter is installed “to protect and prolong system life expectancy.” Sidestream filters provide an economical solution for filtration in the recirculating water systems by filtering the complete system volume once or twice in 24 hours. Sidestream filters can be supplied fully assembled with pumps on a skid, ready for filtration. These can also be combined with our magnetic assemblies for rust removal from heavily corroded hot water systems.

CSN® Dummy Load Resistors used as dummy loads for testing high frequency radio transmitter systems. Schniewindt had already supplied dummy load resistors with rated max. cont. power up to 1500 kW. Choquenet offers the latest generation of carbonator boilers with richter tube technology. A traditional boiler must have a pumping system to allow the recycling of the gas and limed juice (at least 15 times the incoming flow) in order to obtain a homogeneous mixture. The Choquenet technology, on the other hand, makes it possible to obtain a homogeneous carbonated juice without a pumping system, but by simply injecting the CO2 internally via the richter tubes. In addition, the permanent cleaning system of the gas injection part avoids the recurrent opening of the boilers and thus limits production stoppages. Our technology allows a gain in productivity, a more homogeneous mixture for a better filterability, a lower consumption of reagents and thus to reduce the operating and maintenance costs.

We can also provide replacement parts for most other filters used in the chemical and process industries and redesign a wide range of replacement components for old or obsolete filters using our in-house design facility.

Filtration Services have undertaken many filter refurbishment projects over recent years, giving new life to old filtration equipment. Our main area of expertise is the rotary drum vacuum filter and refurbishment can be undertaken on or off site. During filter refurbishment work worn or broken parts will be replaced or if items are obsolete our in-house design team will design and manufacture new components.
