Once in a while, during a night out at a restaurant, you might experience the successes of modern cuisine, more specifically, molecular gastronomy. Molecular gastronomy is formally a scientific discipline that mixes physical and chemical cooking processes. We prefer to call it ‘The art of achieving magical outcomes with basic ingredients in the traditional kitchen.’ Yes, just a little bit more inspirational. The truth is, sadly for us, that not everybody can get to manipulate this branch. Only specialized people or restaurants apply molecular gastronomy techniques. But even so, we have good news for you! You can still learn more about this culinary style that takes the science of cooking, selecting, preparing, serving, and enjoying to new heights. Molecular gastronomy is a scientific discipline within the culinary arts, that’s clear. How it works and what it involves is not yet told.

Sand Casting For simpler sculptures, without a great degree of detail, we are equipped with equipment to produce sculptures using the chemical sand process. Finishing The chemical sand casting process uses a chemical binder to unite the sand grains and form the mold and allows parts to be obtained with good dimensional accuracy and surface finish. Materials It is used to smelt various metals such as iron, steel, aluminum, copper or bronze. The pieces can have various sizes and complex shapes. Shapes It is used for the production of automobile components, agricultural machinery, industrial equipment, decorative items, furniture and works of art, such as sculptures, busts, plaques, trophies, etc.

It is a highly soluble substance which is why it is ideally used in various chemical reaction processes. Many manufacturing plants use it in the making of colouring dyes and agents. It is also used in the manufacturing of fertilizers and synthetic detergents. Sodium carbonate or Soda ash light is known to be used in improving and treating of the alkaline levels of lakes which have been known to be affected by rains. It is used to replace phosphates which were earlier used in various household detergents and cleaning agents. Examples of these are dishwashing soaps which contain high levels of soda ash.

CTRA produces a wide range of boiler-made equipment for chemical processing, including reactors, columns, decanters, mixers, gas coolers, gas scrubbers, odour scrubbers and absorbers, as well as their internal equipment. All this boilerwork is designed by our departments to meet the dynamic and hydrostatic loads required by the various processes. Thanks to the development and mastery of materials, CTRA is able to design a wide range of boilerwork, up to 6 m in diameter, to withstand the most corrosive fluids, whether they operate in a vacuum or at high pressure, from 50°C to 200°C.

The basic material for isoTHERM® 1000 - Tapes is produced by a chemical refinement process. The components that melt at a low temperature are eliminated from E-glass fibres in this process, so that the temperature resistance level is increased. The products can be identified by their light blue colour. isoTHERM® 1000 has extremely textile properties, does not irritate the skin at all and is classified as absolutely harmless to health.
