Kayaput essential oil (Melaleuca Leucadendra) is extracted from young cajuput stalks or freshly cut leaves: their freshness is proportional to the level of quality of the oil. The extraction method is steam distillation. The yield of the finished product is quite high - 1.5%. The oil turns out to be liquid and flowing, transparent with a greenish tint, with a multi-layered and multifaceted aroma with notes of camphor, eucalyptus, menthol, pine needles and citrus fruits.
