It is suitable for transporting boxed, bulk and packaged products. It is the conveyor type with the widest usage area, and its usage capacity is also highly variable. Belt conveyors are particularly successful in transporting bulk materials such as mineral ores, stone, sand and grain at high capacities and over long distances. A belt conveyor consists of an endless belt stretched between two drums. Belt conveyors are usually the most suitable solution when stacking material needs to be transported over long distances without stopping. They are used horizontally or with a low slope. The Gebuwin hand driven worm gear winch is known for its robust and compact construction. The hoisting capacity of the winch is calculated according to the first belt layer around the drum. The winch has a rear exit, which also enables it to be used as a pulling winch. As pulling winch, a load of up to approx. 2000 kg can be moved horizontally. The worm gear winch is fitted with a load pressure brake. This brake holds the load at any required height during hoisting and lowering. The crank can be adjusted in length and is recoil-free. All rotating parts run in maintenance free bearings. This winch is available in a grey/black paint and a zinc plated version, which gives an improved rust protection. Excessive bending moments can cause overstress in the webs between the screw holes in the locking assembly. In the case of additional loads (bending moments/ radial loads) screw tightening torques may have to be reduced. To limit the influence of the bending load on the locking assembly connection we use the following criteria during the belt drum design process: - Shaft deflection from the bending moments can only have a maximum deflection fm < 1/2000 * L (bearing centre distance). - For the permissible bending load values please refer to our tables. These processes require the use of release agents to be sprayed onto the steel belts. In the press infeed drum seat of the ContiRoll® one unit each is installed at the upper and the lower infeed drums. The release agent application device uses a dip roller to spread the release agent onto the press belts. The surface-textured dip roller rotates inside the release agent tub. The dip roller is pressed against the application roller (setting force is adjustable) to transfer the release agent. The applicator roll applies the agent to the steel belt.
