Whey Permeate

Permeate is produced from fresh pasteurized skim milk, which is obtained after ultrafiltration of milk to extract proteins and fats. The product is then dried using advanced spray drying techniques. It is sometimes referred to as "deproteinized whey" when derived from whey. Due to the fact that whey permeate is rich in lactose but has a low protein content, it can be used in the production of confections, baked goods, and fats. It is also added to the production of ice creams, processed cheeses, beverages, and cosmetics.
