To support our growth, we employed our own team of engineers and set up a dedicated Power Maintenance Division to offer a complete range of service contracts. A few short years later, we also moved to our current premises in Eckington, Sheffield where we were able to hold increased stock and expand our service and production facilities.

Lee Ashworth, the founder of Lee Ashworth Roofing initially started out as a Roofing Apprentice in the 1980’s for a leading nationwide roofing company based in Doncaster. Working for a company of this size that held contracts for the larger scale projects, and working alongside more senior and highly skilled timed served contractors, this taught him not only the traditional methods in roofing, but also the most up to date and advanced techniques and methods. In 1988, Lee then launched Lee Ashworth Roofing. Being young yet knowledgeable, he managed to acquire a number of medium sized roofing contracts working for nationwide supermarket chains, larger building contractors, metal companies and the NHS, alongside the smaller domestic contracts.Lee Ashworth Roofing has provided service to their customers not only within the South Yorkshire region, but also throughout the wider areas of West Yorkshire, North Midlands and Lincolnshire.Although known for being a Felt Roof Specialist Company, we have carried out and completed some of the most difficult and technical contracts on Tile Roofs including New Builds, Heritage Properties, Listed Buildings and most commonly, Historical Churches.
