Skate blades glide across it nearly as well as on artificial ice – without lubricants, with real ice skating characteristics and proper braking – a high standard that many similar concepts have failed to achieve. The explicit aim of years of research and development was to achieve excellent gliding properties without additional lubrication while retaining all real ice skating characteristics – and finding a sensible ecological solution that puts the least possible strain on the environment.
