Currently, our manufacturing team consists of 390 employees divided across Germany, Hungary and China. In addition to synthetic fibres such as PET and PP, technical fibres such as glass and oxidised polyacrylonitrile are used. Depending on requirements, Ziegler fleeces can be water-repellent (hydrophobic), oil-repellent (oleophobic), flame-retardant and/or have insulating properties. They can be laminated with foam, leather, fabric, spun-bonded fleece, film or a number of other materials. We are certified in accordance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OEKO TEX Standard 100.

Because up to 99% air and a material proportion of just 1% means the burden on the environment is relieved all in all by almost 100%. The latest generation of FLÖTER systems is able to process films of 12 µm. Many tonnes of CO2, which would have been produced when manufacturing heavy consumables, can consequently be saved. Our range includes certified air cushions made of 100% recycled paper, which are in turn 100% recyclable. AirWave organic bubble wrap (made of a potato starch blend) are 100% home-compostable. The climate-neutral AirWave bubble wrap has been awarded with the 'Blue Angel' label and is also one of our sustainable products. But environmental protection at FLÖTER already begins far earlier than this. Climate change is already at the forefront of our thoughts in product development. Although we are wholsalers we also sell our bedding sets range to private persons. Only best quality Chinese silk, i. e. mulberry silk, is used for the quilts which we supply. There are many advantages to silk quilts filled with mulberry silk. Silk is made by nature, it is a natural fibre, it is not only functional but also a high-quality product. Mulberry silk is exceptionally adaptable. Our silk quilts are lightweight, very supple and they offer a high sleeping comfort. Silk is breathable, so it provides an optimal room climate. You will not transpire underneath these bed covers. Silk quilts are also good for asthmatics and rheumatics. They have a mite repelling effect. As the woven structure of silk is extremely fine and the surface very smooth the mites cannot hold on to the fibres and cannot survive.
