It was originally established back in 1928 in Lommatzsch, Saxony, and has been successfully continued across more than three generations since then. LightFab GmbH is a new technology company in the field of laser technology. We founded LightFab in 2013 and developed the foundations of our technologies at the Chair for Laser Technology of the RWTH Aachen located in the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser technology ILT in Aachen, Germany. We produce micro structured glass components using ultrashort pulse lasers as well as the microscanners suitable for producing these – the "LightFab".
