LightFab GmbH is a new technology company in the field of laser technology. We founded LightFab in 2013 and developed the foundations of our technologies at the Chair for Laser Technology of the RWTH Aachen located in the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser technology ILT in Aachen, Germany. We produce micro structured glass components using ultrashort pulse lasers as well as the microscanners suitable for producing these – the "LightFab". The basis of our innovative products are the many years of experience the founders (Dipl.-Phys. Martin Hermans, Dipl. Ing. Jürgen Ortmann and Dr. rer.nat. Jens Gottmann) have of the SLE process, the development and use of microscanners and the outstanding experience in developing software for controlling scanners and laser systems. It is our mission to apply the machining of transparent material with high-performance ultrashort pulse lasers to a wide variety of uses. LightFab – 3D production with light.
