As a family-managed business, we have been offering chemical-technical consultancy and the trade of thermoset materials, silicone elastomers and chemical specialties for plastic-processing companies, as well as products for the casting industry, since 1949. As a producer of binding agents based on furan/phenolic and alkyd resin as well as the corresponding hardeners for cast steel, we have been supplying the casting industry ever since our company was founded. As an exclusive representative of well-known producers in the composite industry, we deal in a wide range of chemical specialties for use in the most varied areas of application – including: • Epoxy and polyester resin systems • Epoxy prepregs • Liquid silicone rubber • Adhesives • Halogen-free flame retardants • Graphene • Reinforcement materials (glass rovings, mats, fabrics). • We also offer room-temperature-curing and liquid silicones for use in sealants and moulding compounds, and for applications in medical technology, health care and the electrical industry (liquid silicone rubber). Collaboration with our partner companies in particular allows us to be in dialogue with important and innovative plastic-processing companies, and to work together on new developments and projects. We supply both the basic raw materials and special additives, which we optimise together with our suppliers and customers so that they're customised depending on the application.

With over 20 years of experience PROTEC develops and sells the product line of chemical fluids on a sustainable basis within three fields of application - welding, laser cutting, and wire processing. When it comes to welding PROTEC fluids provide premium surface protection against hot metal spatter to obtain maximum surface quality and perfect coating results on welded parts. During laser cutting processes sheet metal and pipe surfaces get required protection from spatter and slag that in turn leads to higher productivity and increase in quality. For the wire production and processing industries PROTEC has developed a line of fluids aiming at purification and coating that facilitates and refines further application of wire. The most important application field for said PROTEC WLS products (wire lubrication system) is the treatment of wire electrodes. This results in significantly improved and stable welding and soldering processes.
