The UV photometer FlowMissio is a double-beam photometer with a pressurized water flow-through cell for monitoring the absorption of water at 254 nm. A number of organic impurities, ozone, turbidity, and other substances can be detected using this sensitive short measuring wavelength. The double-beam photometer compensates for lamp aging and thus serves to achieve accurate measuring results. Referencing to an empty cell or a reference liquid is available. The photometer uses an optical path length of 50 mm. Operation of the photometer is menu-controlled with a graphical display. Measuring data are shown on the display. They are also transferred to an analog and a digital interface. Two adjustable alarm thresholds are available for the system controller via relay contacts. The UV photometer requires low maintenance. The lamp should be changed every 2,000 hours and the flow-through cell should be cleaned regularly depending on the water quality.

The PLC UV sensors and VIS sensors serve as precision sensors for the measurement of UV irradiances and illuminances in systems with programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Spectral range, measuring range, operating voltage, and output signal can be selected to match the measurement task and the PLC. The integrated electronics generate a signal voltage that is transmitted with the low interference cable to the PLC. The built-in diffusers provide the required cosine correction. The sensors are calibrated with traceability to the PTB (Physikalisch Technische Bundesanstalt, the German national test authority); after being calibrated, they are shipped with a factory calibration certificate. Excellent long-term stability is achieved through the use of appropriate materials. Of course, a repair and spare parts service is available for many years. The PLC.D sensors are ready-to-install UV sensors with digital output. This enables reliable and repeatable irradiance measurements in UV systems.
