Metallic heaters made from ML or tungsten are made for very high temperatures between 1000 °C (1 832°F) and 2 800 °C (5 072 °F). Plansee supplies heating elements for all types of high-temperature furnace in the form of ribbon, sheets, rods, twisted wire, wire bundles and wire mesh heaters. Plansee's materials belong to the group of refractory metals. Molybdenum and tungsten are the two materials that are most commonly used in high-temperature thermal processes. Thanks to their high melting points, they do not soften even at very high temperatures. Refractory metals have a lower coefficient of thermal expansion and better thermal conductivity than steel.

Made with silver plated copper and silver plated copper alloy (120,50 and 25 µm strands), they are insulated with FEP. A flexible dual wall, radiation cross linked tubing used for insulating, jacketing and bundling of wire harnesses and components. Ideal for sealing connector to cable transitions and similar moisture proofing applications. Made from flame retardant polyolefin, MIL and UL rated*, it offers a good balance of sealing and protection against fluids on transitions to connectors. Several bunched single wires or bundles made from Cu-ETP1 and Cu-OF1 in bare, tin-plated, nickel-plated or silver-plated, soft annealed. Single-wire diameter ranging from Ø 0.05 mm to Ø 0.51 mm, left-hand lay or right-hand lay. Cross-section ranging from 0.005 mm² to 630 mm². Those single wires do not hold a fixed position inside the strand. Their position relative to one another undergoes a permanent change along the entire length of the bunch. The construction of a bunch is derived from the cross-section required, which leads to the electrical conductor featuring a certain resistance level. Different cross-sections with the same resistance value can be generated by applying single wires of varying sizes. Owing to their good efficiency our bunched single wires are versatile in a multitude of applications in cables and conductors.

Shielding braids consist of bobbin wires, located parallel, which have been braided into a tube. Manufactured from Cu-ETP1, Cu-OF1, LEONI-Histral®-alloys (upon request), aluminium and stainless steel, with coating in bare, tin-plated, nickel-plated or silver-plated, hard or soft annealed. Sinlge-wire diameter ranging from Ø 0.10 mm to Ø 0.40 mm. Cross-section ranging from 0.25 mm² bis 400 mm². Tubular shielding braid is smoothly expandable and has a very good shielding effect. The couverage can be determined precisely by changing the braiding angle. Suitable for electrical and mechanical shielding of wires, cables, cable bundles and cable harnesses.
