BIEGLO's sales portfolio for PEI contains also sheets from 8mm to 100mm as well as, PEI thin films below 1mm thickness are also available and the maximum width is 1200mm for sheets and film. Polyetherimide is an amorphous thermoplastic and part of the polyimide family. It has excellent dimensional accuracy over a wide temperature range and has low thermal expansion. PEI is naturally flame retardant and has a fire rating of UL94 V-0. The most common applications of PEI are in the food and beverage industry, pharmaceutical and electronics industry as well as precision engineering.

Polyamide-imide (PAI), also known as the brand Torlon® comes in different grades and different shapes. PAI is known to be the highest performing meltable thermoplastic in terms of temperature resistance, chemical resistance and mechanical stress. BIEGLO offers PAI semi finished products, such as rods, tubes and sheets from different PAI types: Torlon® 4203; 4301; 4275; 4435; 4645; 5030 (30% GF); 7130 (30% CF). Its mechanical strength at 205°C outperforms many engineering plastics at room temperature. The unique performance of Polyamide-imide (PAI) is the result of being transformed from a thermoplastic to a cross-linked thermoset during an extended curing process. Our PAI is processed by experienced engineers and offeres the best possible values a PAI product can have. It is suitable for many applications, such as gears, rollers, plasma chamber hardware and wafer contact fixtures.

BIEGLO is the official distributor of Saint Gobain Performance Plastics for the Meldin 7000 product line semi-finished products. Our polyimide semi-finished products meet the highest demands of various industries, such as the aerospace or the automotive industry. The polyimide semi-finished products are available as solid rods or sheets. Tubes can be produced as short, direct formed pieces. Polyimide semi-finished products are available in various compounds, for example with PTFE or graphite for better coefficients of friction. Polyimide sheets are available in the standard size 305mm x 305mm and a thickness of 1.6mm up to 50.8mm. Polyimide rods have a standard length of 965mm. The diameters of the solid bars are distributed from 6.3mm to 82.5mm.

It can be used for a variety of applications: semi-finished product extrusion, injection molding, compounding, filament and film extrusion, coatings. Our CoPEEK 012G is high viscous, unreinforced PEEK for extrusion and injection molding, thus it is the standard type for the production of semi-finished products. CoPEEK 021G is medium viscous, unreinforced PEEK for injection molding. But it can also be extruded for the production of films and filaments. CoPEEK 085G is low viscous, unreinforced PEEK for the extrusion of films and filaments. It is also used as the basis for compounds and composites. CoPEEK 125G is very low viscous, unreinforced PEEK for the injection molding of thin-walled, complex components. It is also suitable for the production of highly filled compounds.

Our CoPEEK 012P is a high viscous, unreinforced PEEK for extrusion and injection molding, thus it is the standard type for the production of semi-finished products. CoPEEK 021P is medium viscous, unreinforced PEEK for injection molding. But it can also be extruded for the production of films and filaments. CoPEEK 085P is low viscous, unreinforced PEEK for the extrusion of films and filaments. It is also used as the basis for compounds and composites. Our CoPEEK can be processed on machines for thermoplastics without any problems. We recommend a processing temperature of 360 °C to 380 °C. BIEGLO CoPEEK is ISO 10993 certified for medical applications and also has FDA certification.

You can count on us for precision work, from less than one gram to complete or semi-finished products of up to about 2.5 kilograms. We work with the most diverse plastics: from commodity plastics to engineering plastics and high engineering plastics.

The combination of multiple technologies/procedures in one step is called OneShot technology. Semi-finished products (e.g. renewable raw materials such as natural fibers) and decorative materials (e.g. textiles) have to be handled in one production step to finish a component, such as a door panel. FRIMO has developed a modular system that allows for simple and customized configuration of a OneShot plant with all necessary tools. The following units can be integrated into such a plant: feeding station, heating station, calibrating station, material assembly station, press with OneShot tool, part-removal station.
