Our high-quality stainless steel flake products are used for high-performance protective paints and industrial coating applications. Produced from our own 316L stainless steel powder, the flake offers numerous benefits for paint additive applications: Corrosion resistance; resistance to alkaline cleaners and detergents Abrasion resistance High specular reflectance Paint Additive Applications Maintenance Coatings: Corrosion protection for equipment exposed to hostile elements and food processing or pharmaceutical plants. AMETEK stainless steel flake is manufactured from premium quality 316L stainless steel raw materials. We employ a unique milling process in our dedicated and proprietary batch production area to produce a flattened 316L particle that makes a “leaf” product or flake. As we produce the raw material in-house, our input material is abundant and controlled to the highest quality.

Precision re-rolled stainless steel strip products can be engineered to specific customer requirements with exceptionally short lead times. Based on our longstanding expertise, we can manufacture stainless steel strip to precise custom sizes, ultra-thin gauges and tightly controlled mechanical properties with any surface finish. We also work closely with Hamilton Precision Metals, part of AMETEK Specialty Metal Products, to produce stainless steel foils down to 1.5 microns (.000060”) thickness. Since the 1980’s, we have been a leading producer of superfine powders for Metal Injection Molding (MIM). Our expertise and advanced atomization technology enable us to produce very fine MIM powders down to 10µm. Products and Sizes Our MIM water atomization technology is compatible with most conventional high-performance stainless steels and alloys. Special size distributions are available as well as some standard sizes. Grades: 17-4PH®, 70/30 Fe/Cr, 430L, 316L, other 300 Stainless Steel series Sizes: Typically smaller than 20µm Austenitic Stainless Steels 316L used in MIM applications which require good corrosion resistance, strength and ductility. Also available 304L and 310L. Ferritic Stainless Steels 430L ferritic stainless steel combines good magnetic response and some corrosion resistance. Also available 409L, 410L, and 434L.

Our filter grade powders are available in a wide range of particle size distributions and are uniquely suited to produce sintered porous metal filters for demanding applications. Typical materials include a wide number of commercial alloys specifically tailored for filter applications. The alloys available include but are not limited to high performance Stainless Steels, Hastelloys®, Monels®, Inconels® and Nickel. We produce these alloys specifically for sintered filters in tightly controlled size distributions within the 10-250µm range for liquid and gas filtration. We routinely produce more than 25 different sizes of filter product and are happy to take on the challenge of exacting, custom specifications. Fine Tubes manufacturers medium and high-pressure tubing for a range of critical applications in several industries. Our products are crucial in oil and gas extraction projects, as well as in commercial and military aerospace programmes. Operating conditions can require our products to be rated up to 60,000psi operating pressure and with tensile strengths greater than 220ksi (1,515MPa). Oil and Gas Applications Our medium and high-pressure tubing is used in the most hostile downhole conditions including deepwater and sour oil well projects.
