Our filter grade powders are available in a wide range of particle size distributions and are uniquely suited to produce sintered porous metal filters for demanding applications. Typical materials include a wide number of commercial alloys specifically tailored for filter applications. The alloys available include but are not limited to high performance Stainless Steels, Hastelloys®, Monels®, Inconels® and Nickel. We produce these alloys specifically for sintered filters in tightly controlled size distributions within the 10-250µm range for liquid and gas filtration. We routinely produce more than 25 different sizes of filter product and are happy to take on the challenge of exacting, custom specifications. High Performance Liquid Chromatography High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) is used to analyze chemicals in both research and industrial processing. It’s an application that requires precision tubing, which is resistant to high temperatures, pressures and corrosion. For many years, Superior Tube has supplied tubes made from corrosion resistant austenitic, stainless steel and nickel alloys for a range of HPLC equipment. The tubing is used for the manufacturing of the columns in chromatography machines. This application requires exceptional inside diameter condition and overall tube strength to withstand the pressure involved when pumping liquids or gases through the column in order to extract samples for chemical analysis. Fine Tubes manufactures a range of specialist stainless steel tubes used to produce high-performance and ultra high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC and UPLC) columns. Our tubes are components in both liquid and gas chromatography columns which are used for analytical and preparative processes across the fields of biochemistry and analytical chemistry. Tightest Tolerance Control The control process during manufacture of these tubes is critical to meet the highest specifications demanded in this area. The percentage Cross Section Area Reduction (% CSAR) through pilgering and drawing is specific to each product’s dimensions and specifications. Surface Finish The ID surface finish is further refined by passivation, polishing or electro polishing processes. OD surfaces are finished down to 0.1μm (0.25μ") and ID down to 0.16μm (0.40μ") and 0.08μm (0.20μ") with electro polishing. Please note that we have a minimum order value of £10,000.
