Floor levelling compounds are generally used to level a substrate so it is necessary to bond them directly to the substrate. The floor levelling compounds then leaves the surface suitable for all floor coverings, especially thin floor coverings like vinyl. Thin floor coverings require a smooth/flat surface to be applied to so that they look their best. If the floor’s surface is not smooth, when thin floor coverings are applied, it will show the floor surface’s irregularities. Cementitious Compounds With depths ranging from 3mm up to 50mm, these products are very versatile. They tend to be flowing screeds to ensure that the product self smoothes, thus providing a surface suitable for floor coverings. The finishes range from epoxy paints and resins, wood flooring, vinyl’s and ceramic tiles.

The 500G membrane performs as a separating layer rather than keeping moisture out, whereas the 1200G (and above) membranes ensure that no moisture is made available to the screed and floor coverings. Liquid damp proof membrane are suitable for moist substrates where thin screeds or floor coverings are required and where program dictates a solution is required to lay the floor coverings. Rat Blockers are designed to stop rats travelling through drains and are installed into pipes within inspection chambers (manholes). They are usually installed into the drain outlet, but these models can be easily configured to be fitted into a drain inlet.
