UV lasers are beneficial in some applications as opposed to longer wavelengths such as infrared or visible light as they do not heat the areas around the target. This allows the laser the cut materials by breaking atomic bonds, rather than melting the material. Due to the large band gap for Lithium fluoride, it’s crystals are more transmittive to short wavelength UV radiation than any other material and are ideal for use in X-Ray monochromators, as for use in VUV, UV, Vis and IR spectrums. Todd Research are proud to announce the launch of the integration between the Callmy Emergency Messaging service and the TR-Cabinet range. This means that for the first time a scan can be sent to a dedicated group of first responders of your choice. When the TR – X-ray unit produces an image, the operator can send the scan from the machine using an email function. Callmy transforms the contents of an email into an emergency notification that can be transmitted through the service.

The mid-size TR15 cabinet scanner is the most popular model in the Todd Research range. All JME (DR) systems meet all the statutory requirements of the current Ionising Radiation Regulations (IRR99). Wet film radiography has been accepted and used as a NDT technique for many years. However new X-Ray imaging techniques are now available and offer many advantages over film. JME Advanced Inspection Systems now offer an equipment rental service, supplying high-energy Betatron systems (2.5 and 7.5MeV) and various YXLON X-Ray Tubes. JME are able to offer both Long and Short term rental, so whether you require an X-ray source for the duration of a project, or just short term cover for equipment breakdown, we have a solution to suit your requirements. We are also able to supply a range of additional accessories to support our hire systems, these include X-Ray tube stands and our Audio/Visual Radiation Alarm. JME are proud to be the exclusive distributor of YXLON portable X-Ray products within the United Kingdom. YXLON offers a full range of high quality X-Ray Sources, ideal for use on the JME Pipeline Crawler range or as stand-alone solutions for NDT Inspection projects. The YXLON range includes Panoramic and Directional X-Ray tubes in a range of kV outputs. All tubes run at Constant Potential for high penetration, this also makes them suitable for traditional film capture and digital panels. Along with the SMART EVO range of X-Ray tubes, there are a number of accessories available to expand functionality and provide protection for transit and storage. JME are also able to supply the Y.XMB Trolley System which is well suited for jobs in confined spaces and projects that require more mobility than a standard tube set-up.

JME portable Betatron systems are a range of compact circular electron accelerators producing a high energy directional X-Ray beam. The Betatron systems are easy to assemble, operate and maintain. They contain no moving parts or cooling liquids so maintenance required on the systems is minimal. They are capable of producing radiographs of very high contrast, sensitivity and resolution allowing operators to meet the tightest inspection standard. JME offer 4 systems within the Betatron range each with a different maximum energy, the outputs are 2.5, 6, 7, 7.5 and 9MeV. The energy output on all systems is variable from 2Mev through to the maximum energy and adjustments can be made in 0.1MeV increments. The systems offer cost savings and a greater degree of portability when compared with systems such as linear accelerators (Linacs) which are much larger, non-portable, and can cost up to 10 times the price of a JME Betatron.

The Raptor is employed to inspect for contaminants in each product and reject contaminated packs. The system has been designed, engineered and constructed to the highest care/food grade engineering standards. It is capable of processing packaged products up to 6kg and 300mm x 400mm in size.
