Silicon Nitride (Si3N4), just like its close family relation silicon carbide, is one of the toughest technical ceramics available. Over the years it has been successfully used in a wide and interesting field of applications ranging from automotive engine components to roller bearings for the most exclusive skateboards (right).

Polyflon offers FEP tubes in IDs ranging from 0.2mm up to 100mm and due to FEP being melt processable, very long continuous lengths are possible. Excellent chemical resistance, surface smoothness, transparency and purity of FEP tubing make it the material of choice in many fluid handling applications within the semiconductor, chemical process plant, instrumentation, bio-tech and medical markets.
