Monochromatic lights have a low pressure sodium light source that emits monochromatic light in which rays have virtually the same wavelength. This light is a very effective way of viewing fringe patterns on the surface of optical flats (Newton rings) Knight Optical's standard type moonlight has a straight line engraved across the diffused screen enabling the operator to easily compare the straight lines of the component being tested thus identifying how flat the flatness is. Other options of monochromatic lights are available enhanced version and floor standing version. These lights are not supplied with the optical flat as standard however we stock a range of quartz and Zerodur optical flats with a range of flatness’s to meet your application. Pneumatic Ball Transfers allow air-driven positioning of the conveyed item & may be individually arranged for a flexible, modular conveying plane. PS25 Positioning Stops are pneumatically activated to stop & hold the position of the conveyed item. In low pressure systems, tubing length should be extended or altered using optional in-line connectors (TC4) as the tubing & fittings are not designed to be separated once assembled. Appropriate blanking plugs are automatically supplied with each order. Alternative ball materials & sizes available.

Light-duty ball transfer units are assembled from pressed sheet steel components, except for the LP series which are machine turned from an acetal solid bar. All light-duty ball transfer unit designs feature a hemispherical cup for the recirculation of the small supporting balls. This allows a smooth rotation of the protruding, load-bearing ball. All light-duty ball transfer units (except LP) feature a heat-treated support cup which is resistant to wear.

Our Medium Duty ball transfer units are machined from solid steel bar which is heat-treated to provide a hemispherical wear-resistant chamber within which the recirculating balls can support the protruding, load-bearing main ball. This robust, low-noise design is engineered for applications requiring conventional (ball ‘up’) orientation. Additional options for this range include impact-absorbing top cap options, and additional drain channels where required, making these transfer units the air cargo industry standard.

Innovative patented design incorporates a hardened and precise ground internal support component. The heavy duty design allows the internal recirculating balls to form an endless track/race to allow the full load to be applied at any angle of inclination. Compact design allows much higher load capacity than the comparable ‘cup & ball’ hemispherical chamber design used in both Omnitrack medium duty and light duty ranges.

Cream Processes Unit By means of this tank the cream is pasteurised and decreased to maturing temperature. Culture is added at this temperature and maturing is continued.

PVH range of single and multi-cartridge industrial housings is suitable for industrial liquid applications. The standard high flow filter housing can be configured to accept between 1 to 7 high flow cartridges and caters for flows more than 200 m3/hr up to 1,400 m3/hr. Pressure rated to 10bar, the housing is leg mounted. A single high flow housing replaces a multi-round holding 8 to 10 cartridges. The housings are available in vertical or horizontal orientation to make installation of high flow cartridges as easy as possible. Housings are supplied 40” and 60” lengths to maximise cartridge surface area available.

ClearPore depth filters are a range of high efficiency melt blown depth filters available in a range of materials to ensure particulate removal from liquids when there is a wide side range of particulate contamination. ClearPore filters are manufactured from either 100% polypropylene or nylon fibers to create graded density and high contamination holding capacity. The range are available in a range of absolute or nominal removal ratings. Products are manufactured from FDA approved materials and conform to all required EU guidance of food safety. ClearPore depth filters are used in a range of industrial and F&B applications, such as bulk chemicals, industrial water treatment, cooling water, plating, parts cleaning, drinking water treatment, desalination and food & beverage applications requiring haze or colloidal removal

Acting as a prefilter, pleated depth cartridge filters perform an important role by protecting follow-on membrane technologies - microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, and reverse osmosis - so their efficacy and service life can be maximised. The Star Gantry Sealer produces long, straight welds and is available in both free-standing and bench-mounted formats. The machine frame is constructed from an anodised aluminium profile, maximising rigidity whilst minimising weight. The gantry sealer is available with either one or both jaws heated allowing a wide range of packing materials to be sealed including foil, paper, biodegradable materials, laminates and most modern plastics. For anyone intending to carry out routine maintenance to critical pressurisation units, the 12377 is an essential tool. Weighing approximately 30kg this unit is fully portable. Its design incorporates wheels, and an extendable handle to aid its movement. Following a recent design change to incorporate the same 1/3HP compressor that is used in the 12434, and 12437, this small unit is now able to produce a dry air output of 30 cubic feet per hour at output pressures of between 3 and 15 psi. Should increase flow be required a unique feature allows a second compressor to be connected to a built-in power take off point. Each 12377 is supplied ready to run, complete with 3 metre power lead and plug, and a quick connect chuck for pneumatic connection. Uses twin tower molecular sieve, adsorption system.
