Transitions are a connecting piece of a pipeline designed to connect pipes of two different diameters of the pipeline. Depending on the working environment, transitions are made from different grades of steel. Steel transitions are concentric; eccentric For connecting two pipes along the central axis of symmetry of the pipeline or along the lower generatrix line. Concentric transitions are made by stamping or by centrifugal electroslag casting.

Basement inputs and transitions are permanent joints of polyethylene and steel pipes "polyethylene steel", intended for installation in the places where the underground pipeline exits from the ground.
