Being the industry standard for undertaking subsea thickness measurements for over 3 decades, the Cygnus Underwater is a trusted underwater ultrasonic thickness gauge within the marine industry worldwide and has been used for underwater inspections inlieu of drydocking (UWILD) for many years. Depth rated to 300 meters, Cygnus Underwater metal thickness tester uses the multipleecho technique (approved by Classification Societies) for accurate and reliable thickness measurements through coating up to 20mm thick, when used in Deep Coat mode (upon request). This underwater thickness gauge is simple to use and is made of a rugged, durable, shockproof construction.

Cygnus DIVE is a wristmountable underwater ultrasonic thickness meter that has been designed for the professional diver and can be worn on the forearm, providing an invaluable free hand whilst performing an in water survey (IWS). It has a large bright display for easy viewing from all angles, by the diver and his camera/surface crew, even in poor visibility. Cygnus DIVE also hosts an array of other key features, such as Ascan to help verify measurements; data logging that enables hasslefree reporting and analysis; MSI™ to verify stable measurements; and AutoLog for automatically logging measurements without having to press any buttons. The Cygnus DIVE uses the multipleecho technique (approved by Class Societies) for accurate, reliable thickness measurements through coatings up to 20mm thick. This unit also incorporates singleecho and echoecho modes used for extreme corrosion and pitting, making it one of the most versatile underwater thickness gauges on the market.

Combining intelligent, advanced software and electronics with a truly simple to use interface, the Cygnus Flooded Member Detector (FMD) is an easy to use, cost effective and reliable system. The FMD system comprises three fundamental parts the probe and probe handler, the subsea electronics unit and the reporting software. The probe handler selfaligns and ensures correct contact with the member, even when approached from an angle. The subsea electronics unit is available in high grade acetal or stainless steel for the harshest environments. The reporting software displays a simple DRY or FLOODED result and Ascans for verification; and logs results for offline analysis or reports exported as PDF or Excel. As with all Cygnus ultrasonic testing equipment, the FMD is extremely easy to learn and understand, and can be used by a range of operators with varying experience.

Cygnus ROV Mountable ultrasonic thickness gage is depth rated to 500m and designed to operate in the harshest operating conditions, ideally suited for asset integrity inspections and pipeline inspections using ROV. Dedicated software displays and logs thickness measurements from the ROV UTG on to a computer at the surface. The Cygnus Topside Repeater (TSR) is available as an option and has the facility to display the thickness measurements remotely and overlay them on to a video signal. This allows the measurements to be superimposed on the ROV camera’s monitor screen. Supplied with CygLink software to display and log thickness measurements from the ROV wall thickness gauge on a computer at the surface which can be saved to a file and printed out. CygLink has two data logging facilities Quick Log for simple recording of thickness measurements and Structured mode with four templates available Single Point, Multi Point, Grid Point and Key Point.
