Sidestream filters remove sediment, biological growth, rust and corrosion products from recirculating closed loop CHW, LTHW and MTHW water circuits in the HVAC industry. These filters protect pipework, valves, pumps and components by removing suspended impurities and complement water treatment program. BSRIA Publication BG29/2021 recommends that a sidestream filter is installed “to protect and prolong system life expectancy.” Sidestream filters provide an economical solution for filtration in the recirculating water systems by filtering the complete system volume once or twice in 24 hours. Sidestream filters can be supplied fully assembled with pumps on a skid, ready for filtration. These can also be combined with our magnetic assemblies for rust removal from heavily corroded hot water systems.

This course is ideal for those who are not directly involved with the operation and maintenance of water systems, but still require an understanding of Legionella and the risk posed by this bacteria and what can be done to minimise the risk. This awareness course maybe applicable to those persons who provide hotel services, caretakers / janitors and / or building / departmental staff. Topics covered on the course include: -Legionella the bacteria - the history and current cases reported -Factors that encourage Legionella growth within water systems -An overview of the law, regulations and guidance applicable to Legionella -Those persons involved in the routine management and operation of water systems -Control strategies that can assist with minimising growth of Legionella in water systems -Operational checks that can assist with evidencing control strategies are working - Identification and management of little used outlets. Available online 24/7.

Water Safety Plan [WSP], defined in BS8680 as… ‘strategic plan which defines & documents the arrangements that are required for the safe use & management of all water systems together with all associated systems & equipment within each building or estate to prevent harm arising from all forms of exposure’. Depending on the type & size of your organisation the scope & content of the WSP will vary. The initial steps in the development of a WSP is understanding the water related risks, the need to have identified and assessed those water related risks within a building or across an entire estate. This baseline of the water risks allows the development of the associated processes to be defined, outlining applicable arrangements to ensure the safe use of, and management of the water systems and associated equipment initially identified.

Water meters using the multi-jet principle are the best cost/performance, long life, flow measurement instruments. Our water meters offer wide clearances in the measuring chamber and negligible area of contact between static and moving parts. It is these characteristics which are the main reasons for the high reliability of this design even in hard water.
