A new exceptionally lightweight food industry safety boot designed for wearer comfort and low-temperature flexibility. The Foodlite boot is available as a safety boot with a steel toecap or as an O4 soft toe boot. Both versions use our Cryolite compound which is halogen and PVC free.

Access panels, hatches and open doors on parked aeroplanes can all be potential safety hazards for airline personnel unaware of the opening. In the past, flight attendants and servicing staff have suffered injuries and even death because of falls through these openings. Investigations have indicated that incidents of this nature are preventable by the proper and consistent use of barriers and by following strict airline policies and procedures. Our door barrier (safety) nets are designed to prevent people from falling through the open doorway. They provide efficient protection reducing risks to ALARP, essential to comply with the “Work at height regulations 2005”. They will be qualified, sufficiently experienced & skilled to fully operate the service, including its maintenance. This role involves maintenance of records, quality of service and system safety (integrity) and overseeing routine testing of the water, storage & distribution system. This course is aimed at members of the WSG who have a responsibility for managing projects / refurbishment from the concept & design stage through to completion - be it a new build through to a refurbishment & alterations to existing water systems. This course would benefit those external organisations who are involved with the design & delivery of developments for their clients (i.e construction and architects). This course is ideal for those who are not directly involved with the operation and maintenance of water systems, but still require an understanding of Legionella and the risk posed by this bacteria and what can be done to minimise the risk. This awareness course maybe applicable to those persons who provide hotel services, caretakers / janitors and / or building / departmental staff. Water Safety Plan [WSP], defined in BS8680 as… ‘strategic plan which defines & documents the arrangements that are required for the safe use & management of all water systems together with all associated systems & equipment within each building or estate to prevent harm arising from all forms of exposure’. Depending on the type & size of your organisation the scope & content of the WSP will vary. The initial steps in the development of a WSP is understanding the water related risks, the need to have identified and assessed those water related risks within a building or across an entire estate. This baseline of the water risks allows the development of the associated processes to be defined, outlining applicable arrangements to ensure the safe use of, and management of the water systems and associated equipment initially identified.

The audit process draws on the management requirements of the HSE's ACoP (L8) and HTM 04-01 & HTM 03-01 (where appropriate). If you are prosecuted for breach of health & safety law, and it is proved that you did not follow the relevant provisions of the Code, you will need to show that you have complied with the law in some other way or a Court will find you at fault.” A water safety audit is crucial to the development or refinement of any good risk management system & the control of Legionella. Patol offers the ASD 535 Aspirating Smoke Detector. The ASD 535 consists of one or two independent sampling pipes, each having one or more sampling apertures and a sampling chamber. The air of the space being monitored is sucked in for precise analysis by the scattered-light smoke detector located in the sampling chamber.

The Patol Infra-Red Heat Detectors are designed to provide an early warning of fire or overheat conditions of material being transported on conveyor systems. The unique principle of operation will detect black body infra-red emissions at low thermal energy levels.

The Fire Thermal Infrared (FireTIR) detection system is based on fixed infrared cameras which measure the viewed surface temperatures in real time and connect to a user friendly software interface.
