Cranage has multiple testing facilities, accredited by UKAS, to test for EMC as well as radio communication, electrical safety, mechanical and environmental performance. Our Engineers have experience of testing hundreds of different products, including wheelchairs, ECG Monitors, hair styling appliances, household appliances, PCB's, Vacuums, Information point systems, Electric gates, metering systems. We can test and evaluate within the following sectors- Lab and Scientific equipment, Medical Devices, Household appliances, IT equipment, Industrial and Machinery Equipment, Lighting, Electrical Fittings, Road and Rail equipment, Security, Fire and Smoke equipment, Mobility aids and Stairlifts. Used for wind turbine components and abnormal loads, these heavy transport test drives provide a detailed route analysis to show areas where route modifications are required to enable the passage of the proposed vehicle and load. The loaded vehicles simulate the correct dimensions of the abnormal loads, as would be required for the actual movement and any projections either in length, width or height are assembled to the trailer. All projections are designed to allow for easy modifications and reduction in size if required whilst on the public roads, this allows for quicker and smoother manoeuvrability reducing the impact on other road users.

In addition to our comprehensive testing facilities, we have a range of services available to our customers at Cranage EMC and Safety. We work with our wholly-owned, Irish subsidiary, Cranage Veritas to be able to offer a complete NRTL service- in conjunction with Met Labs. We are able to carry out testing for the American market, as well as the required factory inspections. Cranage is also a signatory of the ILAC MRA Scheme, meaning we can assist with certification for global markets such as Saudi Arabia and Australia. Together with Cranage Veritas, we can also offer a complete service for CE and UKCA marking. Environmental testing covers a wide range of pressures that your product may be subject to and we can simulate different climatic conditions to show weaknesses in design. Testing will allow you to demonstrate your product can be used in any conditions that it may be exposed to.
