Our Rotavac rotary drum vacuum filter (RDVF) is particularly suited for applications where large amounts of liquids and solids need to be separated continuously and with minimal operator input. The Rotavac is available in a variety of sizes, from 0.8m² up to 60m² filtration area, and in a range of solids discharge configurations. Rotary drum vacuum filters operate continuously with the solids and liquid being discharged at steady, predictable rates. DLR works with clients in the design & development of products to develop novel, workable solutions. Rubber sheeting of all kinds finds use in industry mainly in the form of a protective barrier. These barriers can be against chemicals, fire & debris. The choice of materials is different depending on the chemical to be protected against its concentration & temperature. Protection against fire is more complex. Consideration is given to items such as escape routes, the toxicity of the smoke generated by the rubber, whether the fumes given off are likely to be harmful to human beings and any (critical, expensive) electrical equipment.

We offer a state-of-the-art contract chemical blending facility comprising four five-tonne bespoke vessels that have been designed especially for us. Some of the vessels are mounted on load cells for increased accuracy and all are controlled from a fully-automated PLC control panel. The liquid blending tanks have been constructed from food grade 316 stainless steel and are fitted with fully-automated cleaning in place (CIP) regimes for hygiene purposes. Two of the vessels in situ have the unique capability of handling exothermic chemical reactions with inline plate heat exchangers and temperature control systems. These vessels are also fitted with direct acid and base feeds to minimise exposure of the liquid blending personnel. The chemical blending tanks can be fed by a double filtered UV treated mains water feed system, or alternatively, from a full deionised water plant complete with reverse osmosis that is generating water to a pharmaceutical specification.
