Over the years, under-bonnet temperatures have been increasing with evermore aerodynamic car design. In conjunction with this, the demand for a more comfortable passenger space has been growing, making selecting materials supercritical. Pattern imprinted concrete (Pic for short) comprises of a concrete base, a thin layer of coloured concrete covered by sealant. The sealant is designed to protect the concrete and colour from wear prevent stains such as oil soaking into the base. PIC should be resealed every 3 years, especially in high traffic areas such as driveways where car tyres can damage the sealant.
