Cygnus ROV Mountable ultrasonic thickness gage is depth rated to 500m and designed to operate in the harshest operating conditions, ideally suited for asset integrity inspections and pipeline inspections using ROV. Dedicated software displays and logs thickness measurements from the ROV UTG on to a computer at the surface. The Cygnus Topside Repeater (TSR) is available as an option and has the facility to display the thickness measurements remotely and overlay them on to a video signal. This allows the measurements to be superimposed on the ROV camera’s monitor screen. Supplied with CygLink software to display and log thickness measurements from the ROV wall thickness gauge on a computer at the surface which can be saved to a file and printed out. CygLink has two data logging facilities Quick Log for simple recording of thickness measurements and Structured mode with four templates available Single Point, Multi Point, Grid Point and Key Point.

Inspection contracts typically cover an inspection of the equipment at agreed intervals, followed by a detailed report stating any recommended maintenance, repairs or spares. Beyond the work covered by an inspection contract our service contracts cover the maintenance work, typically involving lubricant changes, replacement of wear plate and filter media.

Hydraulic cylinders used on shipboard machinery or in shipyards must endure the toughest of conditions, including hot and cold temperature extremes, exposure to salt water, driving rain, ice, as well as dirt and many other forms of contamination. That is an extremely abusive environment for hydraulic actuators. Cylinders used under these conditions must be designed and manufactured with these well in mind if they are to survive and work reliably. In addition, many hydraulic cylinders used on ships and harbour cranes are very large-bore and very long-stroke. Their large size makes frequent repair or replacement simply out of the question. Other marine cylinders are mounted in a ship’s machinery that is very difficult to reach. All these factors makes reliability a primary concern for marine cylinders.
