Liquid fuel system for a gas turbine which utilises a variable speed electric motor driving a positive displacement pump. The flow of fuel is controlled by the speed of the pump and not by a valve in traditional systems. The nature of the positive displacement gear pump makes it ideal for aggressive fuels such as low viscosity naptha or high viscosity heavy fuel oil. In every project where this system has been fitted the gas turbine start reliability has been improved. The system offers a rugged, reliable and low maintenance solution to the requirements of a gas turbine liquid fuel system
