All individually QA checked and metrology tested for quality to ensure parts meet customer specification. Supplied in a range of sizes and shapes with custom coatings tailored to meet your individual applications. Knight Optical supply precision optical components to customers with Heat Shielding requirements. Our IR-cut filters allow good transmission levels of visible light but cut off IR and UV radiation. Our precision grade filters have an AR coating to increase their visible transmission. In many systems that require heat shielding while still needing visibility an IR-cut filter can be used. Today, we’re trusted by many blue chip companies in the oil, gas and shipping industries to supply them with high quality electrical safety matting. Over the years we’ve successfully exported electrical rubber switchboard matting to over 20 countries worldwide. All of our rubber insulating mats are then rigorously independently tested to comply with all the following specifications: European IEC61111, BS921, VDEO303 & American ASTM D178. As there is no time definition as to when the electrical safety matting should be replaced unless an electrical shock has occurred then it should be replaced immediately. The flutes are also a useful indicator of when the rubber matting should be replaced – just keep an eye out for any signs of wear over time. We also supply electrical safety matting with a smooth finish. Again, once this starts showing signs of wear just give us a call to arrange a replacement.

Solid and sponge silicone populated with vertically oriented monel or aluminium wires up to 140/sq cm. Provides excellent shielding with EMP survivability and will also provide an environmental seal. Available as sheet stock, strip or die cut to customer design and can be easily fabricated for large picture frame gaskets. Also available with self adhesive backing and compression stops or collars can be fitted to prevent over compression.
