We are capable of producing a variety of blades for food processing and slaughtering machines. Offering blades in the best quality stainless steel, we are able to meet stringent requirements put in place by our customers to ensure our blades are food-safe. We recognise a lot of OEM reference codes, but we are also able to reverse engineer our blades from samples, or from your own technical drawing. Applications for these type of blades could include fish slicing, breaking meat, cutting meat, slaughtering animals, trimming meat, skinning fish, slicing meat and processing poultry all the way through the production line.

Large and heavy reels cannot be processed efficiently using the normal cutting equipment, but with the reel splitter this problem is eliminated. There are many different sized rolls/reels of materials that need to be processed and our Reel splitter / guilotine is the perfect machine for the job, capable of splitting reels starting at 800 mm high by 1,500 mm wide and are to accommodate rolls up to 3,000 mm wide and maximum 1,200 mm in diameter. It is suitable for cutting many different types of materials including paper, carton, plastic foil, aluminium foil, cling film, acetate and can also reduce certain vehicle tyres before further processing. Wrights Reel splitters come with standard safety guards, we can also build bespoke gating systems to what ever your specific requirements are. As granulators, shredders and pelletizers are among the most commonly used blades, we offer a wide variety of common and specially designed knives for them. The life of a granulator blade life is a tough one. That’s why at Fernite, we use only quality steel from European accredited mills,manufacturing every blade with absolute precision. We manufacture to OEM specifications across a wide range of brands. We’ve a large catalogue of blade drawings, but we’re equally happy to create drawings from your samples, which we do free of charge. We’ll even sharpen your blades whilst we have them, so that you can keep your production going (charges apply).

A blunt blade “pushes” paper instead of slicing it, resulting in poor quality edges, tearing and shredding paper when cutting. To achieve faultless quality of cut paper it is important to regularly check and sharpen the blades of mechanical paper cutting guillotines.
