Cortec VpCI® 170 Adhesive Foam Tape excels at corrosion protection and sealing. Unlike standard adhesive foam tapes, it incorporates Cortec's VpCI® technology, actively shielding metal surfaces from corrosion.VpCI® molecules vaporise, forming a protective layer on all metal, preventing corrosion without messy oils.This contrasts with basic foam tapes offering only passive protection through a physical barrier. Additionally, the tape boasts a high-performance adhesive for strong, long-lasting bonds to various surfaces, outperforming lower-quality alternatives prone to drying out.The closed-cell polyethylene foam is soft, conformable, and highly resistant to water, moisture, and air, surpassing open-cell foam options. Available in 1/8-inch and 1/4-inch thicknesses, it adapts to diverse needs.

Cortec VpCI® 150 Adhesive Foam Tape vs.Corrosion Inhibitors. Valdamark Direct offers two corrosion protection solutions: Cortec VpCI® 150 Adhesive Foam Tape and Corrosion Inhibitors.Both combat corrosion but differ in application and composition. Cortec VpCI® 150 is a specialised tape using Cortec’s VpCI technology.This foam tape releases vapor-phase inhibitors forming a protective layer on metal surfaces.It’s versatile, shielding various metals, electronics, and equipment.The adhesive backing ensures easy application for both short and long-term protection.The foam’s closed-cell structure seals out moisture and air, while cushioning against damage. Corrosion Inhibitors are a broader category, available in coatings, additives, or chemicals.They prevent corrosion by forming protective barriers, altering pH, or competing with corrosive elements.Types include Volatile Corrosion Inhibitors (VCIs), similar to VpCI tape, Oxide Inhibitors, Anodic Inhibitors, and Cathodic Inhibitors.

Flexible in nature and application, supamag® magnetic tape is used across many industries for mounting material or items directly to steel or other ferrous surfaces. Where a ferrous surface is not present, supamag® magnetic tape can be used in conjunction with our adhesive-backed steel tape to provide a surface to which the magnetic tape will grip. Typical applications include magnetically mounting printed media or signage that can be changed quickly and easily. All of our supamag® magnetic tape is UV coated on the magnetic face as standard, preventing the tape from marking the media or product to which it is applied as well as the individual handling the tape. This is especially useful to the print industry where it reduces the need to reprint due to printed media becoming marked and unusable.

Steel tape works in partnership with supamag® magnetic tape by providing a receptive surface to which flexible magnetic material such as supamag® magnetic tape can be applied. This approach is commonly used in industries that utilise imagery, signage or informative displays such as retail or warehousing to magnetically mount printed media. By using corresponding widths of steel tape and magnetic tape the receptive surface to which the magnetic tape is applied is discreetly hidden away behind the mounted media or signage. Once the steel tape has been aligned and mounted to a surface printed graphics or signage to which magnetic tape has been applied can quickly be installed with no effort.
