The SUPERfume Tent is a rapidly deployed enclosure for use with portable cyanoacrylate fuming system - SUPERfume. This tent is ideal for the fuming and subsequent examination of cars and small commercial vehicles. The weatherproof tent can be erected on hard or soft ground and once the frame has been expanded and the roof is in place it can be lifted and moved into position causing minimum disturbance to the crime scene. Once in position the side walls are attached to the frame and the fuming process can be initiated. Efficient seals ensure that levels of humidity and cyanoacrylate vapour are maintained at effective levels. Should larger areas be required several frames can be linked together.

Knight Optical offer a range of Stock Achromatic Doublet Lenses for use within Holography. Holography can be said to be a photographic recording of a light field, like an audio recording. This recording is typically 3 dimensional and does not require the use of any special equipment e.g. glasses or headset to view. These images are produced using laser light which are passed through a recording medium which “records” the depth an arrangement of the final image. Achromatic Doublets are used in holographic systems & correct for chromatic aberrations which exist in singlet lenses. This is when different wavelengths of light refract at different rates. The doublet lens helps to correct this by facilitating the focusing of the light to the same point. In holographic systems the aim is to form an image which is as close to real life as possible. Knight Optical can offer transmit and receive windows and mirrors for LIDAR systems using visible, NIR (0.9 to 1.5µm) and Mid-Waveband Infra-Red (MWIR, 3 to 5µm) light. Since the 1960s, scientists have used LIDAR (light detection and ranging) to study the atmosphere. Short pulses of laser light are used to detect particles or gases in the atmosphere, like a radar bounces radio waves off rain drops in clouds. A telescope collects and measures reflected laser radiation, like a radar dish collects the radar signal, leading to a profile of the atmosphere's structure along the path of the laser beam. Researchers can then determine the location, distribution, and nature of atmospheric particles and molecular species using an advanced LIDAR method called the Differential Absorption Lidar (DIAL) technique.
