Industrial heating oil is specifically intended for use in commercial boiler applications for heat generation. Our aim was to create a product that’s exactly the same diesel in terms of its physical properties whilst being more efficient option of heating oil. With no equipment modifications required, winter grade fuel and a prolonged shelf life, you can store IHO safely all year round.

Industrial Heating Oil (IHO) is specifically made for commercial boiler applications for heat generation and is lower cost alternative to using diesel to heat your business. Load sizes start at 3000 litres through to a full vehicle load of 35,000 litres and is available nationwide. These products are typically several pence per litre under the price of Class A2 Gas Oil so there is huge potential for savings to be had, especially on the larger loads.

Cost Efficiency: At Compass Fuel Oils, we can provide very competitive heating oil prices on IHO which is generally more affordable than other heating fuels, offering significant cost savings, particularly for businesses with large-scale heating needs. High Energy Content: With its high calorific value, IHO delivers a substantial amount of energy per unit, ensuring efficient heat generation and contributing to lower operating costs. Ease of Storage: IHO can be stored in bulk on-site, providing businesses with a dependable fuel supply and the ability to purchase in advance, potentially at lower prices. Compatibility: Many existing heating systems designed for gas oil can use IHO without modification, allowing for an easy transition to a potentially more cost-effective fuel.

DIFHEMI - EXCLUSIVE AND MULTIFACETED Manufactured by Brascoelma and brought to you by the joint-venture, DIFHEMI heaters are high-technology equipment capable of heating any fluid by electromagnetic induction. The device operates on a different principle because in addition to being versatile, and making it possible to heat any type of fluid, it is non-pollutant, it does not generate useless energy losses, and it reduces operational and implementation costs, the heating process’s performance and efficiency being raised to up to 98%. It is the leader and, worldwide, it is the most-efficient product in existence exploiting the conversion of electrical energy to heat. HOW DO THEY WORK?Employing the principle of electromagnetic induction, DIFHEMI heaters generate heat through the magnetism created in the grain-oriented steel nucleus, the heat being transferred to the stainless-steel tubes through which the fluids circulate.

Colloide designs and builds customised energy centres which generate heat which can then be distributed to buildings or district heat networks. We can also incorporate CHP units within the energy centre, providing electricity along with heat and a low carbon heat and power solution. Our energy centres are often designed to have more than one energy source, allowing the plant operator to vary the energy sources in relation to the energy demand and the best value for money at a given time. The energy sources may include: Gas fired boilers. Biomass boilers. Heat pump. Oil fired boilers. Combined Heat and Power (CHP) unit Our centres are engineered to include the energy sources, thermal stores, instrumentation, control systems, pumping and pipework network – building in as much flexibility as possible so that the plant can be operated as efficiently as possible.

District heating systems include a centralised energy centre which then distributes the heat through a network of insulated pipes to the buildings which are connected to the network. The network of pipework consists of a flow and return loop which passes each building. Colloide uses local substations in each building to control the flow of water from the district heating pipework loop through each substation and this flow is used to generate heat in the local building. The central energy centres are generally designed to have more than one energy source, which allows the plant operator to select the most cost efficient and sustainable way of providing the energy needed with the energy sources being brought on and off line to meet demand. We design and build the district heating and cooling networks to include the pumps, pipework, thermal stores, instrumentation, control systems, local substations, heat exchangers and communication through a central control system.
