Pine Furniture Board is a non-structural, factory made, panel product which is constructed from narrow strips of Scandinavian Pine timber. The strips are planed along their edges and then edge glued together to form wider boards. The boards are then planed to a consistent size and then cut to their finished width and length before leaving the factory. Our standard edging solution is to use a matching 2mm ABS bonded to the board with an EVA adhesive. Alternatively we can offer 1mm colour matched edging or a contrasting edging in either 1 or 2mm. Another option we can offer is the use of PUR adhesive to bond the edging to the board. PUR adhesive is far stronger that EVA adhesive and also provides resistance against heat and moisture. Using the PUR option is essential when using edged melamine faced boards in kitchen, and especially bathroom, environments.

Oriented Strand Board, OSB for short, is made from orientated layers of small chips, or strands, from fast growing, rapidly renewable trees including Poplar, Aspen and or Pine. These strands are bonded together with a mix of waxes and resins and then compressed under immense pressure to form the boards. Due to its comparatively lower cost and stronger shear strength, when compared to Plywood, OSB has become the construction industry’s panel of choice. OSB is commonly used for sheathing under roofing systems and load bearing wall and roof applications. Floorsorba27 acoustic flooring boards are used to reduce airborne and impact floor sound through separating floors between adjacent properties such as houses, flats, offices, etc. Their acoustic floors performance conforms to Approved Document E of the Building Regulations. FBB is produced with bleached coated fibres on the top layer with the reverse layer being white (GC1), cream (GC2). FBB is used in direct contact food packaging, pharmaceutical packaging and cosmetic packaging. PG paper would recommend choosing FBB for your packaging needs if you require a cost effective but slightly higher quality board. We have European suppliers of folding box board including Belgian suppliers and German suppliers although we also source high quality keenly-priced FBB from suppliers in USA, suppliers in Turkey and particularly suppliers in India.
