Depth rated to 300 meters, Cygnus Underwater metal thickness tester uses the multipleecho technique (approved by Classification Societies) for accurate and reliable thickness measurements through coating up to 20mm thick, when used in Deep Coat mode (upon request). This underwater thickness gauge is simple to use and is made of a rugged, durable, shockproof construction.

The Cygnus Underwater diver-held ultrasonic thickness gauge has been built to withstand harsh subsea environments while providing quick and accurate metal thickness measurements through coatings or heavy corrosion. This diver-held thickness gauge is simple to operate using 3 function keys, an intuitive menu and a large LCD display – highly visible, even in low-visibility waters.

Designed for taking reliable thickness measurements in Zone 0 Explosive Atmospheres, the Cygnus 1 Ex is certified intrinsically safe to ATEX, IECEx, UKEX for Zone 0 and NRTL for Class 1, Division 1. The Cygnus 1 Ex boasts advanced data logging, manual measurement mode, features a large colour LCD display and offers 3 measuring modes for through-coat measurements and various materials - including heavily corroded metals.

Cygnus ROV Mountable ultrasonic thickness gage is depth rated to 500m and designed to operate in the harshest operating conditions, ideally suited for asset integrity inspections and pipeline inspections using ROV. Dedicated software displays and logs thickness measurements from the ROV UTG on to a computer at the surface. The Cygnus Topside Repeater (TSR) is available as an option and has the facility to display the thickness measurements remotely and overlay them on to a video signal. This allows the measurements to be superimposed on the ROV camera’s monitor screen. Supplied with CygLink software to display and log thickness measurements from the ROV wall thickness gauge on a computer at the surface which can be saved to a file and printed out. CygLink has two data logging facilities Quick Log for simple recording of thickness measurements and Structured mode with four templates available Single Point, Multi Point, Grid Point and Key Point.

Designed for most industrial or shipping inspection applications, the Cygnus 4+ ultrasonic thickness tester offers features such as Ascan display to help verify readings; simple to use sequential data logging with hasslefree reporting and analysis; and manual & automatic gain control. As well as using the multipleecho technique for accurate and reliable measurements through coatings up to 20 mm thick, this ultrasonic thickness meter also uses singleecho and echoecho measuring modes and a verity of portable UTM probes for extreme corrosion and back wall pitting. Offering maximum strength (US MIL STD 810G) and environmental protection (IP67), this UT thickness gauge is a must for any inspector carrying out asset integrity maintenance or NDT work.

The unit is extremely userfriendly thanks to its simple to use keypad, intuitive menus and a colour LCD display which can be viewed in all lighting conditions. Using the trusted Cygnus multipleecho technique, the Cygnus 4 ultrasonic thickness gage is used for measuring metal thickness through paint (up to 20 mm thick) providing an ultrasonic thickness measurement that is accurate and reliable.
