The unit is designed for determining dielectric loss tangent and permittivity of transformer oils and other dielectric fluids according to the IEC 60247. It is a fully automatic device that allows testing according to the procedures defined in these standards, as well as according to the user procedures specified in the appropriate section of the setup menu. Operating principle Measuring the difference in amplitudes and phases of signals obtained when a test sinusoidal voltage with an effective value of up to 2 kV is applied simultaneously to the reference capacitor and the object of measurement, which is the measuring cell of the unit. The difference between the amplitudes of the signals taken from the reference capacitor and the internal electrode of the measuring cell is proportional to the dielectric constant of the liquid under study.

This GlobeCore mobile oil processing unit is designed for degassing, removal of solids and heating of oil for power transformers with voltage up to 1,150 kV. The unit can be used to: (1) heat electrical systems that contain insulating oil with hot oil; (2) for vacuum drying of transformers and (3) for vacuumizing. The unit is designed to measure the dielectric strength of transformer oil and other dielectric fluids according to IEC 60156, ASTM D877, ASTM D1816. It is a fully automatic device - allows testing according to the procedures defined in these standards, as well as according to the user procedures specified in the appropriate section of the setup menu. The core of the unit is the high voltage transformer and electronic modules. The unit operates by gradually increasing the voltage on the secondary winding of the high voltage transformer from zero to the maximum voltage, or to the voltage at which an electric breakthrough occurs in the dielectric fluid in the measuring cell installed on the high voltage contacts of the transformer. During operation, AC (50-60Hz) voltage is supplied from the secondary winding terminals through the cell electrodes into the dielectric fluid in the measuring cell.
