Parallel Linkage Coil Lifters are typically utilized for coil handling applications in which the coil axis is horizontal. The linkage mechanism is ideal for coil storage facilities with small aisles, but it requires more headroom than a telescopic drive lifter to operate. Additionally, powered rotation, retractable feet, and a variety of extra safety measures are available. From the crane cabin, the crane operator controls the entire lifting operation of the motorized horizontal coil tong. A three-phase gear motor and a mechanical transmission power the tong. The self-closing tong mechanism and the shear effect proportional to the load's weight provide physical safety. The control box's electrical circuit is accomplished using a plug-in connection. This expedites the tong's withdrawal from the crane. The standard suspension system is intended for use with conventional crane hooks.
